Hi, Alex here, I'm the Learning Technologist based in the Disruptive Media Learning Lab at Coventry University, and one of the creators of Game Changers!

I develop the Game Changers site ( http://gamify.org.uk ) making sure everything runs smoothly.

You'll find me here in the community providing support, advice, feedback, extra resources; pretty much anything and everything GC related, plus cat pictures.

If you have any questions feel free to ping me or one of the rest of the GC team, and we'll get in touch!

See you around!

Alex.

Welcome to the Game Changers community!

It's early days here, and we're still setting everything up ahead of the programme start on Monday February 8th, but that doesn't mean you can't hang out and join in!

We've set up some discussion boards, but we're eager to know what extra ones you think we should add.

Feel free to ping us a message or two, we're always hanging around in here!

Alex.

P.s. If you post outside of the community, be sure to include the #gchangers hashtag! ;)

So glad I bought a couple of these for the house, they've been awesome in place of an old bluetooth headset plugged into the amp. Casting Google Music is awesome, although I still don't seem to have the multi-room option available, which they said was now active... Anyone else been able to test that out?

A Return to Writing
It’s that time of year when a majority of people talk about making new year’s resolutions, and then there’s the few who actually decide to follow through and give them a go.

I decided that starting mine ahead of the new year might work better as the morning after new year’s eve doesn’t really set us all off on the right foot. So I started a few days before, setting up a new personal homepage, blog, and tapping out my first new blog post, setting the scene for the year ahead...

Hmm, not sure if it's a lift or a kill room...

Any uber knowledgable GitHubbers out there that might be able to help me figure something out?

Quick description of issue: I have a remote repo (on GoDaddy server, not my choice :S ) with a post-receive hook that pushes chages to live site files. This all works great, but how do I get the repo to detect changes to the live site code if someone FTPs in and changes something?

At the moment Git doesn't detect any changes so I don't know if I'm writing over someones else on our team's changes... :(

Any help would be awesome.
