2013 Charger, Challenger and 300 SRT models equipped with an automatic transmission enter into launch control mode in the same way: two pushes of the ESC button, and you're in. Left foot on the brake: the system looks for a minimum of 30 bar at the booster. Floor the accelerator: it'll rev to 1825 rpm. Get your foot off the left pedal as fast as you can, and the car goes.

Why don't they just say, that they have installed a "3200rpm stall converter!" It's the same as "braket racing" for low "et's" at the drag strip! That's terminology that Americans can understand.

It's kinda getting away from a Viper but what about the SRT 4 Dart...

Whether it's cruising on the open road or on the track, fuel efficiency is key.

No shit, the SRTs aren't made for fuel efficiency. If you want fuel efficiency in a dodge you get the 5.7 Hemi or V6.

The official home of Street and Racing Technology (SRT)
Introduction
driveSRT is your direct connection to the designers, engineers and customer advocates who use their passion to create automotive art.

Street and Racing Technology's logo first appeared on the decklid of a four-door, four-cylinder subcompact that rocketed to 60 miles per hour faster than most pedigreed European sports cars of its time. Then, we put V8s in honest rear-drive sedans and a lowered SUV. Our ten-cylinder engines sounded great in trucks and Vipers. SRT's mission is evolving, but the culture is as tight as ever.
