Inventory management sounds simple in theory: Knowing how much stock you have on hand, when to order more, and how to keep it all in balance. In reality, as any inventory manager knows too well, inventory control is a much more complicated set of systems, processes, and procedures to maintain that delicate balance.

Manually tracking inventory is a way of the past. It’s time to upgrade your businesses software and join the 21th century. Doing so will only result in more money saved, improved record keeping, easily located inventory and time saved. Do it, you will find yourself pleasantly surprised by the results.

The seven pillars of customer centricity provide a framework for action, giving companies the insights needed to track, measure and improve in seven core areas.

Experience, Loyalty, Communications, Assortment, Promotions, Price, Feedback.

By analyzing customers’ perceptions against these pillars, marketers have a blueprint for customer-centric activation to drive customer loyalty.

True growth—and the customer centricity that drives it—is not accomplished by a strong rallying cry or a catchy slogan. A company must understand its customers’ behaviors and attitudes and have the internal processes in place to create a cultural change within the organization. By aligning deep customer insights with communications and operational processes, and identifying gaps in performance among the seven pillars of customer centricity, a company can drive sustainable results. https://shar.es/1PlEkV

Greater visibility of data, giving the insights needed to make the right decisions

Here are reasons why visibility of your data plays such a crucial role in your project’s success…

Improved capacity planning, improves high level views of future workloads. This allows for the simple modelling of the utilisation and requirements of your resources and gives businesses the ability to swiftly assess the impact produced by current and future projects.

Increased confidence by understanding exactly what’s going on with the work you’re responsible for, improve the management’s, stakeholder’s and team’s confidence in your ability to deliver the project on time.

Less time is wasted, data visibility gives you access to the data you need, without having to rely on updates from project staff.

Decision making is improved. Having the data at your fingertips allows you to make smart and savvy decisions based on the complete project picture.

Resources are allocated appropriately. Accurate, reliable and timely data allows you to reallocate resources elsewhere or increase the resources in particular project areas.

Team members understand their roles and take ownership. Data visibility improves each individual’s understanding of their role and helps to produce a cohesive unit.

Minimize amount of corrective action that needs to be taken as a result of poor decision making or unseen project risks. This helps to keep projects on track and improves success rates.

Even if you're not in the customer service business, there's one clear way to please your customers: act like serving them is your first priority.

Aside from being flexible, accessible and understanding customer's mood, the most important thing to support your customers is "having deep expertise that can give us knowledge about a particular customer segment or a technology." That's according to Larry Wood, Intuit's director of sourcing. "Several years ago, I did an RFP for a hardware bundle comprising five components. We were interviewing suppliers for each of the components when one of them took a chance and said, 'You don't know anything about this market. Let me step up. I know all these other providers. I can buy these other components and bundle it for you.' That was amazing. They addressed a lot of our needs and took a lot of things that we weren't familiar with off the table. I have to admit that I see very few companies do that."

The main driver for the shift of Indonesian shoppers from hyper and supermarkets to minimarkets may simply be due to the convenience factor. Minimarkets’ low capital requirements allow it to penetrate and exist in rural areas, making it the only viable choice for customers in such environments.

While price perception might not play an important role in the behavioral shift, minimarkets’ deep discount rates may be important bait for shoppers to make purchases at their stores. Furthermore, when looking at the percentage of promoted products to total basket size, only 10% are discounted while the other 90% of the content within the minimarket baskets are filled with products that are not discounted.

Any good partnership is about give and take. When looking for someone to work with, make sure they are more invested in your success than they are in fulfilling their own sales quotas. Find a partner that looks at your success as a measure of their own.

Brands that are committed to customer centricity are passionate, and truly believe the customer comes first. They believe that without the customer, they cannot succeed in business (which is true) and want to see the world through the customer’s eyes. Marketers inside customer-centric organizations understand what customers want, and use customer data to capture customer insights and share this across the organization. http://bit.ly/2ieBL3S

It is necessary for traditional players to collaborate with companies that could provide the technology to elevate the services of the industry, as well as to test and monitor market trends to ensure that demands and expectations are met.

When you put your customer at the core of your business, you collect a wealth of data within your CRM software, giving you a full 360 view of the customer, which you can then use to enhance the customer experience.
