The Aircraft Noise & Operations Monitoring System (ANOMS) investigates noise complaints, prepares monthly reports, monitors aircraft operations for compliance with noise abatement procedures, conducts noise analysis of aircraft arrival and departures, creates contour noise maps, and identifies areas impacted by aircraft noise. The reduction of aircraft-related noise at ‪#‎VNY‬ depends on more than technology, it requires community involvement and dialogue from our neighbors to determine effective noise-related decisions! Anyone can contact VNY noise 24 hours a day at http://webtrak.bksv.com/vny. ‪#‎FriendlyFlying‬ [PIC]

A new forecast from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) predicts a 0.4 percent growth of general aviation planes in the next 20 years! The FAA expects the U.S. general aviation fleet to grow from 198,860 aircraft in 2014 to 214,260 in 2035. Today’s #FlashbackFriday features our very own President Bill Clinton after landing at the Van Nuys Airport during his 1992 presidential campaign. During his visit to the southland, many of our neighboring residents had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of president-elect Clinton. Did you happen to be nearby during Clinton’s visit to #VNY? Introduction
A leader in general aviation, business and community service Van Nuys Airport (VNY) is one of the busiest general aviation airports in the world.

-Contributes $1.3 billion to the local economy

-Supports over 12,300 jobs

For more than three-quarters of a century, Van Nuys Airport (VNY) has contributed to the rich history and economic vitality of the San Fernando Valley. Established in 1928 as a place where daring young aviators let their dreams take flight, the airport continues the legacy of courage, craftsmanship and community set forth by aviation’s early pioneers.

Today, as one of the world’s busiest general aviation airports and one of the largest employers in the San Fernando Valley, VNY serves a variety of private, corporate and government aviation needs. It is also home to fire, police, search and rescue and air ambulance flights that provide life-saving services to the region.

VNY’s many community and educational outreach programs reflect our commitment to balancing the needs of aviation interests with those of local residents and businesses. Our goals are to build stronger relationships with our neighbors, facilitate aviation-related career and training opportunities, and open the doors of the airport to people of all ages.

We invite you to explore the many programs we have to offer and to discover the airport is more than a place where aircraft take off and land. It is a valued resource to the community.
