So from my last review on Terminator Genysis, my life just didn't seem right, the pre-workout don't kick in like it should, my wrist curls don't get that same pump, my yoga pants don't fit anymore! I prayed and prayed to the Sandow (Mr. Olympia trophy) Gods and asked them what I needed in my life? They told me I needed to watch that Pumping Iron and get my mind right for the best Arnold review ever!
I took my pre-workout and put that Maggie on. I thought Arnold was fantastic and his English was at an all time best but after doing a few push ups to stay awake, I just couldn't give it a go. Outside of daddy Arnold, it just wasn't that interesting, it's like they had an allotted time span and just tried to fill it with material. I was really pulling for this film too but not going to happen.
I went back to the gym with my Lorde bumping, very underrated album I might add, headband on ready for business, and my gains just weren't loyal. I needed to give my dude one last shot, it was The Last Stand in more than one way.
There I was with the long shot of long shots of movies, I double dosed on the pre-workout and put it on. Like 15 minutes in and Johnny Knoxville appears, I now know that I can't take this movie seriously. Another 10 minutes pass and I pause the movie, I go drink my protein and do my eight push-ups (hey, it's been a bad week), put on my lifting belt, and I get up and do my front double biceps pose to the TV while giving Arnold the pep talk of his life! Just when I thought it was all for not, it turned, full 180! Oh man this movie was fun and very good cast on the down low! They didn't look past Arnold's age by no means but he kicked so much ass, for the most part in believable situations... then came the big gun, no, no, wait! I don't want to give it all away but I was shocked that this movie didn't get more pub, it was fun and stayed with in the boundaries of a smaller action film without trying to go too far beyond itself. My only real negative is that the jokes didn't hit. This movie is a go! Now that I'm a believer again, I will be watching it again!
