Another guest from overseas in winter, so had to pay my Snow Monkeys a little visit in Nagano. Sadly, because we arrived very early, we witnessed two things that break the magic : 1. they use firecrackers to push the monkeys towards the onsen, 2. they feed the monkeys to make

Photography tip : if your picture is too noisy, convert it in black & white, always looks better.

I know I repeat myself but this 50mm/f1.2 is just great for night strolls.

Love these cold mornings in winter offering a clear view of a snow-capped Mt. Fuji from the center of Tokyo. For reference, the same spot with two different focal lengths: 100mm and 400mm.

Indeed lovely the clear sky days in Tokyo were even Fuji San is in sight! I guess the difference between January and October is that there's obviously more snow in J :-)

The glass of wine we were given had left over lipstick from the previous customer. The Coppola rose we ordered was probably opened a week ago and kept in the fridge. The two dishes we ordered were not good at all. Avoid.

Tried for a Saturday brunch and was very disappointed: bad service from staff with an attitude problem (took forever to get the menus from visibly annoyed waiters). Food was average American quality. Not worth the price, nor the wait. Also very smoky.

Small teppanyaki offering a wide selection of delicious dishes & wine. Quality/price ratio is hard to beat. A real Kagurazaka gem as we love them!

Nice terrace with awesome view of Tokyo. If only the food was more authentic: even the dishes marked as hot are not hot at all.
