Verve Coffee Roasters supports the producers and exporters, roasters and baristas who are paying attention—who are invested in making each cup an authentic, quality experience. They wake up our palates every day to what is possible.

It’s important to us to forge genuine connections to place: Our beachfront neighborhood, where roasting and cupping have joined surfing as daily communal rituals. San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, where coffee culture has come barreling into its own. Places further a field, like Brooklyn, Pittsburgh and Manhattan that have tasted Verve Coffee and come back for more. And of course, coffee farms in remote villages from Costa Rica to Kenya.

Wherever a farmer is bent on growing the best green coffee ever, that’s where Verve Coffee comes from. Everything we do—sourcing, roasting, brewing, educating—is about bringing you that place in a cup. Because coffee should be true.

We spend as much time as possible with the producers who supply our green coffee. Give and take at the source is what ultimately leads to a richer, headier experience for people who love Verve Coffee.

had a small regular coffee and an almond croissant. They don't serve coffee brewed with beans that are more than a week old roasted which makes this some of the best tasting coffee you can get! If you are possibly interested in roasting your own coffee beans in the future, taste this coffee and you will be amazed at how much better freshly roasted is. The croissant was absolutely perfect for me. It had all the right texture, flakes, and it even had custard inside! The staff there also really know their coffee. If you are at all interested in roasting or doing any of it yourself, they will definitely show you the right way!(or I can, although I think its better talking to the barista in person) If you would like the best experience: I suggest you come in the morning. Grab your order to go and walk down to the end of the road toward the ocean and you can watch the surfers go while you enjoy your breakfast!

If you like Santa Cruz, then you will like Verve Coffee. Every drink tastes like it is supposed, to except at Verve, it is the most idealized version of the drink. Coffee = amazing Mocha = amazing Bowl of Soul = of course it's amazing Water = they haven't figured out how to make water amazing, but it ain't bad

A stylish coffee shop with a beachy feel. The pastries look amazing. The coffee was great. Check out the cool artwork near the back of the store!

Great Coffee: FRESH, individually brewed, not over-roasted, not over-heated. The mochas are not over-sweet. The baked goods are as as good as any bakery--the apple bombs especially. Sometimes, the wait is long, sometimes the pastries are sold out, sometimes I wish it was a little less expensive---but the good beats the not-so-good by a long margin.

Mmm wow the cappuccino was excellent! Awesome expresso. Haven't tried the food yet but I can't wait to do so next time I'm in the Santa Cruz area

Didn't seem like there was enough expresso in the cafe latte - or maybe the beans aren't as strong as I'm used to. Still was pretty good though and service was nice.
