In honor of Teen Read Week (October 18-24), Civic Center Library has two teen contests and two teen programs this week! This year’s Teen Read Week theme is “Get Away @ your library.”
~ Poster contest: Teens are invited to create posters reflecting this year’s theme. Winning entries will be reproduced for display in the library, and winners will receive prizes. Entry forms are available near the Teen Area. All entries must be received by 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26.
~ Guessing contest: Teens may stop by the Teen Area for a chance to win a prize in our guessing contest. One winner will receive candy and a book. All entries must be received by 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26.
~ Teen Book Club: On Monday, October 19, from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m., join like-minded book fans for food and fun as we all talk about our favorite books! Registration required; please call 586-751-0770.
~ Bring Back Saturday Morning: On Saturday, October 24, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., take a break from reading and join us for all of the good things you remember from Saturday morning as a kid! We’ll have cereal, classic board games, crafts, coloring pages, and cartoons. Pajamas welcome. Registration required; please call 586-751-0770.
