How egg-citing...the eggs have arrived!

This past Saturday, Wolcott Mill Farm brought Civic Center Library 30 eggs and an incubator, which are located at the circulation desk. The eggs need about 21 days to hatch, and today is Day 3. The board above the incubator gives the day of development for the eggs. Come back and check on them. Maybe you can watch one hatch! The chicks pictured here hatched at Civic Center Library in 2013, the last time we hosted an incubator with eggs.

Children ages 11 and under may enter our “Egg Watch 2016” contest! On Monday, May 2, we will draw the names of 30 children and “assign” each an egg. The child with the egg that hatches first will receive a prize.
