Thank you to the Home Depot in Warren for sponsoring our "Planting on the Patio" event. Children decorated pots, planted flowers, and enjoyed some delicious cupcakes. The library's garden is now open for everyone to enjoy!

Join us at Civic Center Library at 6:30 p.m. this evening as Acting Up Theatre Company presents A Truly Original Super Hero! This high-energy interactive show features a comic book fan who creates his own story to become--you guessed it--a “truly original” super hero!

No registration is required; all ages are welcome.

On Thursday, July 23 at 6:30 pm at the Maybelle Burnette Branch children can learn about some of the heroes from World War 2, the Tuskegee Airmen. Air Force Major Frank Gregory will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the experiences of this famous group of aviators.

To celebrate the upcoming 70th anniversary of the end of WWII this August, the Miller Library will have historic reenactors on hand, on Monday, July 20 at 6:30pm, to demonstrate the soldiers' and marines' uniforms and weapons and talk about the final months of combat in Germany and the Pacific Islands.

Habitat Heroes to visit Burnette on Thursday, June 25th at 6:30 PM.

A representative from Lake St. Clair Metropark will talk about people that are helping the environment and wildlife in our area, bring live animals that are threatened species, stress how they need our help, and discuss ideas kids can do to be Habitat Heroes themselves.

Registration is required so please call (586) 758-2115 or stop at the circulation desk to reserve your spot.
