What's next for team USA and soccer in the United States - After the United States’ 2-1 loss to Belgium Tuesday that knocked the them out of the World Cup, someone went on U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard’s Wikipedia page and changed his profession to “secretary of defense.” It may sound weird because the United States lost, but whoever changed it is not far from accurate. Round of 16: a look ahead at USA-Belgium - The “group of death” they called it. Germany, Portugal, Ghana and the United States. If you had to take a guess which two teams would not make it out of this group, the United States probably would have been one of them. Even former USA soccer standout and current ESPN soccer analyst, Alexi Lalas said [] http://ow.ly/2Jmb7f

Questions surrounding SEC Media Days - There’s no Johnny Manziel to steal the spotlight this time around. The main storyline last year in Hoover, Ala., was former Texas A&M quarterback and current Cleveland Brown Johnny Manziel being kicked out of The Manning Passing Academy for missing meetings and “oversleeping” his meetings and camp activities. Mission
We aim to create a space on Facebook.com/DailyMississippian where readers can exchange intelligent and informed commentary that enhances the quality of our news and information. We value thoughtful comments representing a range of views that make their point politely. A few things we won't tolerate on our Facebook wall: personal attacks, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity (including expletives and letters followed by dashes) and commercial promotion. While most comments will remain posted if they are on-topic and not abusive, moderating decisions are subjective. We will make them as carefully and consistently as we can.
