Spring is here and summer is near. That means amazing weather, bbq’s and a new opportunity to grow some flowers or vegetables. You do not need a huge garden to achieve this. In fact window gardening is becoming very popular for apartment renters. Here are some tips and tricks to get you off on the right foot with window gardening this spring.

* Select plants that will grow well in your environment. Take into account average temperature and how much sunlight your window gets. Some ideas to get you started include basil, peppers and green onions.
* Add high quality potting mix to your pots.
* Sow your seeds about ½ an inch apart.
* Water your plants based on their needs. Some plants need more water than others.

Please comment below with a list of what you are growing on your window sill this spring!

Start off the year right by moving into a new home with us! We want to encourage our community to be good neighbors to each other. Here are a few ideas to help you stay on your neighbor’s good side. Let’s make 2014 the best year possible.

1. Be friendly and approachable. Smile and say hello to your neighbors in passing.
2. Good neighbors are quiet and considerate when it comes to noise. Everyone appreciates seeing, and not hearing their neighbors!
3. Respect the building and keep common areas clean for everyone to enjoy.
4. Offer assistance to neighbors especially the elderly if you can. Opening a door or carrying in a bag of groceries can be a huge help.
5. If any issues ever do come up between you and a neighbor be sure to handle the situation maturely. It will be easier to resolve conflicts if you get to know your neighbors beforehand.

I moved in August 2013 due to walking away from an apartment complex I was supposed to move into two weeks prior due to the condition of the apartment and smell of Indian spices was overpowering. I was desperate and based on what I had seen thus far, this appear to be the most decent. OK, overall, its a decent place to live. However with paying $1300 for a three bedroom, the community is very old. The apartments are at-least 15-20 years old with NO upgrades. They will nickle and dime you to death. Where any other community will give you a remote for the gate, here you will get a card and must pay $50 for a remote. Go figure... There are no lights in the bedrooms. I had to buy lamps for all the bedrooms. Everything is caluked over in the kitchen and the bathroom. The kitchen faucet has bathroom knobs, the refrigerator has a strange smell and this is the second one as the first one was so loud that when I spoke on the phone my callers could hear it. The washer and dryer that I rent is easily 10 years old. The light fixtures are the old builder basic cheap candle type chandelier... The fans in the bathroom must be the original because they're caked on with so much dust and clearly are at least 15 years old. The NOISE~! OMG, I hear my neighbors above me having sex practically daily between 3am and 6 am. He likes in the weee hours of the morning. How can you really complain and stop someone from having relations? But I'm still not getting any sleep. Go figure and my kids have heard this... The floors, walls are paper thin. My main issue with this community is that it's completely outdated for the area and the rent that I pay. I'm paying a mortgage payment for an old, dated, thin apartment. Now, if I ever have a problem, they will come out and fix it. But make sure its done correctly the first time. Had issues with that. You will have little to NO reception if you have a cell phone. OH and you can only use comcast for your cable. I was happy with AT&T before moving here. I absolutely will not re-sign a lease and actually contemplating breaking the lease and moving out.

Great gym facilities and pretty nice hospitality. The walls are a bit thin but it's not much of a hassle for me.

Burglary in the month of October 2012. Two burglaries in April 2012. The apartment office did not even alert the residents after the incident . It is a really unsafe place. Gates don't work for months. Office staff is rude
