An Orc I've done work on for a personal commission.

Oh man, using instant messengers for communication is the worst. It's like all of my social awkwardness that e-mail writing can hide and all of the dumb questions I delete that might have already been answered had I not been confused for two seconds come out.

Asking for feedback is like:

"Yeah, I tried to do this."

"Oh yeah, and this."

"Oops, forgot to mention this."

"Hey I should have said this first, whoops."

And then it all sits in an instant messenger window while I sit there with my palm on my face hoping someone likes the damn sketch.

NASA has, no joke, said this is scientifically accurate for the size of the new exoplanets from the surface of one. This is their new "travel poster" from their website they were pimping just now in the news conference.

That's... incredible. As someone who paints sci-fi I am giddy.

So far I've heard 3 of the 7 are within the "habitable zone", one is very likely to contain water, and that they orbit a much smaller, cooler star. Because of this the scientist explained that the planets are closer to the star and would probably be tidally locked and would not rotate- so they would have a perpetual night and day side.

I'm so excited. Too bad it's like 39 light years away.

NASA announcement today, don't miss it! 1 PM EST

These folks seem to have reason to believe it's exoplanet related.

Last of our titans, this one's pretty easy to get. Wormhole, hive-minded galaxy-eating swarm. You get it.

For Michael Anderle's The Kerthurian Gambit.

I still have three or four pieces left to share but I'm all worn out from pasting text on images and don't want to get flagged for spam by Google.

Must post many in a row. Sorry for my lack of social media grace- if I don't post a lot now I'll never stay on top of this stored up work.

For Michael Anderle's The Kerthurian Gambit. Had a little storyline going in my head where this guy would be seen as a comet from that planet, and that stone age primitives would think of him as their god (he would likely only appear as a comet from the surface).

Getting caught up on posting older work.

This is Octogauangus, not sure if they're using that name or not.

For Michael Anderle's The Kerthurian Gambit.
