Ate at Steakhouse 85 after driving 3 hrs thru NYC from LaGuardia to my hotel in New Jersey. My filet was extremely tender, had very good flavor, and was cooked just as I asked. The sides were excellent also. My server was top-notch. Great experience!

Absolute best pork chop I have ever had, and I have had them from some of the best restaurants...

Zagat ratings and "favorites" lists have been taken over by newbies if this place makes a best steakhouse list and a 26 food rating. What happened to the old group of discriminating reviewers? You need to find a way to attract more discriminating reviewers. Overrated and over priced. $85 porterhouse was not 14-day aged. I was had. Dining would be extremely enhanced with a wine list to include fine half bottles.

A good steakhouse, but not great. I ordered the rib-eye, but it was slightly undercooked. The New York City prices may suggest a very high quality and large porterhouse, but it left me wanting. Fortunately, it's the only real game in town, so if you're wanting to spend NYC prices but not willing to travel over the bridges or tunnels, this would be the place to go.

They definetely improved over the last 5 years but still very overpriced not even close to a decent NYC steakhouse.
