Since classroom websites are competing against other sites for the students' attention, they need to consider the user experience in the design process. Is it intuitive to find the directions? Is it easy to access the content or assignment submission points? This post shares a bit of what I've learned trying to address these issues.

Making a photo essay or writing summaries of main ideas are powerful activities for learners. To level up the experience and make it real for them, place these activities in an authentic context. Google Slides continues to impress me when it comes to solving collaboration issues in my classroom. Between Slides and Team Drive, my students have all the collaboration tools they need to learn together, develop fluency with Google apps, and work with content in ways that could easily be published.

Connected classrooms solve many work flow problems, and present new issues, too. The old excuses don't work like they used to. that's why kids have a whole new list.
