Thanks to Jay Atwood, I got my answer on how to give students their own YouTube channel. Unlike Gmail, Sites, Docs, Google requires a YouTube profile to "ensure" they are over 13. To establish such a profile, you will need to access the Adminnistration panel, "Settings" menu and "preview Google+ premium." When students access YouTube under their account name they will be asked to create a profile and can now upload videos. You can turn Google preview on or off and students will still be able to upload to their own YouTube channel.

Need some help. My district has deployed Google Apps for Education. My students enjoy gmail, calendar, sites, docs but they aren't able to create or access their own YouTube account. It requires them to "validate" their account when they try to upload. Any suggestions on what we (site administrator) can do to open up YouTube uploads for the students?

Several of my students comment that my class is the fastest on campus. What they are saying is that time flies when they are engaged in meaningful work ... or play.
