The best place we went to in San Juan. It's in the "hipster" part of San Juan. Looks can be deceiving as it looks like a basic restaurant, but the wait will prove that it's very popular. Every food items was great. The menus are white boards they bring to you and ask your server what's best. We ordered crab cakes for apps and beef for dinner and the brownie sticks for dessert. All were out of this world! It's a great place to stay for hours enjoying the food and people watching!

I'm in heaven. This was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. The fish was great, and the sweet potato was completely warm and comforting.

Hidden in an unmarked house. A must-go in San Juan. Local ingredients with a eclectic twist. The chicharones, crab appetizer and yellowtail are truly amazing.

One of the best meals I've ever had. The wait was long, but well worth it. We had the Deboned Yellowtail ($27) which was unquestionably the best fish dish of my life. The crab ($10) and salad ($9) apps were also superb. The fried pork ($10) was solid as well. Can't wait to go back.

Many/most things in San Juan depend on the service to makes or breaks the experience, not at Jose Enrique's. The food stands alone as a 5+ star experience. However, if you have the right waiter/waitress the experience is greatly enhanced. If you can, try to be seated with Jason. His passion and lack of pretension combine with his knowledge of the food to turn this great food experience into a great evening of entertainment. However, you are warned that this should be the last place you eat on your vacation as it will make the other restaurants on the isle pale in comparison. Truly a must experience. Also this restaurant is right next to the local hot spot which has dozens of bars and outside dancing. And I mean local. I didn't think I saw more than a dozen non locals. Great night of fun.

Best restaurant in La Placita - Santurce. Looks like a casual dinner --- food is five stars!

Fantastic food. Great service. This place is trying to be what it should be, a kitchen that creates great flavors. The Chocolate dessert was marvelous.
