This place is nice, very modern in design and the music is relaxing. Our server was good, she spoke really fast and was long winded so that made it a bit difficult. The appetizers and cheese fondue were good; definitely the best part of the meal. The main dish was mediocre. The chicken was chewy even when cooking longer than recommended. The service was also very slow, took almost 30 minutes to receive our check after being done. Definitely won't come back without a Groupon. Not worth the price.

order the big night out. this is the feature portion of the menu that includes *seasoned meat.* for all whiners complaining about the bland main course, try this and you will see what the point of going to the melting pot is. if you're just going to order plain chicken and cook it in plain bouillion, keep your complaints to yourself. also, huge selection of delicious sauces. try mojo cooking style if you still need some flavor.

My husband and I are big fans of the Melting Pot. We've been to several all over the country, and the New Orleans Melting Pot was not a disappointment! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with friends. We did not make reservations, but we were able to get seated within a few minutes of arriving. The food, as always, was delicious, and the service was great. Dessert is always my favorite! Very different kind of restaurant and a little pricey but definitely worth the money!

This restaurant is definitely something to check out and try just once for the experince. The cheese fondue, which they make in front of you, tasted kind of sour and the ingredients that you throw into the cooking pot as the main course was meager and bland. The best part was the chocolate fondue but who doesnt like chocolate dipped strawberries? But why would you pay 70 dollars to cook the food yourself? Although it was a cool experience, compare to all the many GREAT restaurants in New Orleans, the food doesnt stand a chance.

Waited an hour and 40 minutes on our anniversary, and had just then gotten the stuff to cook your main meal in. Service god awful, and drinks too expensive. Don't take my order and then cook me what YOU want because you forgot. Bring me the salad I asked for since you wrote it down! Complained to manager who compted drinks, and walked out before we ate. Ruined my night! NEVER AGAIN!

The Melting Pot is one of those places that seems super swanky, but on Mondays they have a great two-for special. My husband and I enjoyed our two year dating anniversary here several years ago, and they made it really special for us even though we were being frugal and not splurging. But if you are looking for a great date spot and have a little cash to spend on the atmosphere and experience, I recommend the Melting Pot for sure. You will definitely impress your date.

My wife and I went to The Melting Pot expecting a little something more than boiled meat, sour cheese, and boxed desserts. (not even homemade!) Since when did a gourmet meal consist of boiled meat and potatoes? The experience was relatively new but the overall quality of the main course can be improved tremendously. All I can say is that the Teriyaki sauce is the ONLY reason that we did not refuse to eat the food. If you ever decide to waste your money and eat here, make sure to order extra sauce. (that is if your waiter is even remotely attentive) The cheese fondue had an extremely overbearing taste of wine to it. We ordered the Quattro Frommagio cheese fondue and expected a subtle taste of Pinot Grigio; unfortunately, we were wrong. The chocolate dessert was ABSOLUTELY horrible. When asking the waiter what brand of chocolate that they serve, he quickly responded that it was their "own" brand. Not only did it taste like plastic, it was an extremely cheap milk chocolate. I wouldn't feed the "dippers" that came with the chocolate fondue to a starving child. After ordering a cocktail, the bartender did not even know what glass to serve the drink in. The waiter seemed a little frustrated that we asked to have a rock glass for our cocktail rather than a normal tall glass. The metallic dinner and side plates made us feel like we were eating in prison. The only positive thing I can say about this experience is that the salad wasn't half bad; a little more salad dressing and it would have been great. However, I don't think it was worth $120 for two people. I was very dissappointed in the quality of food that was served and all the dippers that came with it. I will never go back here nor will I recommend it to anyone that I know...

This is one of my favorite places. Nice wine list with great prices. The food and service is wonderful. I personally like the lobster and shrimp in the Mojo. The desserts are melted chocolate with fresh cut fruits and cheesecake. Doesn't get any better than that.
