Woo! "Tableau Online Sync", my project for the last many months is now out of beta! Can't wait to see what kind of impact this has on my customers and their needs.

Here's a lightly adjusted shot from Twin Falls last fall. I was too late for good color so I focused on the river and I may have strategically placed that leaf in the bottom left of the frame.
I was playing around with depth of field and had my lens stopped all the way down. Now that I see it on the big screen I'm not very happy with the sharpness so I might try focus stacking next time.

Trying to edit photos in the evening after kickboxing has turned out to be an epic fail, maybe I'll have better luck in the morning.
This is a photo from a giant spool on the back of a trawling boat moored at the working docks at Fishermen's Terminal next to the Ballard bridge.
I used a gradient to eliminate the shadow at the bottom of the initial image then rotated it 90 degrees and went to town with Lightroom's sliders. I added some vignetting to try and draw the eye into the center image before exploring the rest of it.

This was the best shot I got from my visit to the Heirman Wildlife Preserve. I made the usual adjustments plus added some local sharpening around the fowl and a graduated ND to de-emphasize the river behind them.

Posting for last week when I was sick. This was taken down by the waterfront this weekend, I'm playing with my new lens for the first time.

This shot is 10% photographer/gear and 90% model. :-) From our photo shoot last weekend where I got to play with my new light modifiers. #photo52
