The Nuclear HVAC Utility Group (also known as NHUG) Conference is taking place next week on August 24-26 in New York City. Along with other fan companies, nyb will be presenting in the training session providing a comprehensive overview of fans in the nuclear industry. A dozen nyb employees recently participated in Steptember, a global fundraising effort to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy organization. The three teams achieved 3,105,070 steps and raised $1,175. The top nyb team came in 18th in America and the nyb organization came in 17th in fundraising. We'd like to thank those from around the world who participated and help make next year an even bigger success.

Nyb is pleased to announce the addition of the ECF Plug Fan. This new product utilizes nyb’s ECF‐9 airfoil wheel to enhance the Plug Fan’s flexibility, making it easier to select the correct Plug Fan for specific application requirements. Similar to the AcF Plug Fan, it is available in Sizes 18 through 60 and temperatures to 1000 deg. F. The Plug Fan bulletin can be found online at: http://www.nyb.com/Catalog/Bulletins/241.pdf

nyb offers a wide variety of silencer solutions for its fans and blowers, specifically its backward inclined products. These are designed specifically for mounting on the inlet or outlet of the fan, and may also be used elsewhere in the duct.  They are also available in two lengths to accommodate a wide variety of attenuation requirements.
