First of all, the water... Yeah, the WATER, is awesome! Sounds funny, but it was ridiculously good! Be sure to ask for it, they won't bring it unless you ask. The empanadas are very tasty- we think you should skip the sauce or ask for it on the side though. We also had the guacamole with homemade chips. Very flavorful- LOTS of lime!!! We also tried a beef skirt (I think) and it was REALLY good! Excellent food. Price was $52 for those three things and Arnold Palmer. Highly recommended!

Thought that it was over priced for the food and drink. Hey I am from a small town. When my entree came out at less than room temperature I was disappointed. However they quickly did a new dish and gave me an appetizer while I waited. The food seemed on the sweet side for Mexican fare. I was just not impressed.

I love the border grill and their food truck. Every time i see their food truck i have to stop. It always towers over all the rest of the food trucks. I always get their carne asada tacos. Would definitely recommend the churro bites as well. At the main restaurant i like to get the: CHICKEN POBLANO ENCHILADAS GF mary’s roasted chicken • handmade corn tortillas • poblano crema grilled corn • wild mushrooms • charred poblano chiles 18 and CHILE RELLENO roasted poblano chiles • manchego, panela, cotija cheeses salsa roja • tomatillo salsa 18 You can't go wrong with Either.

Extraordinary food.. Closest thing to home made Mexican food... Ceviches, tortilla soup and panuchos were amazing! Kudos to the staff as well

I've had this on my check list for the last couple of years but never paid the visit. So after failing to make reservations elsewhere I decided to come here. And the wait was... Disappointing. It was a busy Tuesday night and we had to wait a bit for our table. Servers were friendly but it was also a bit slow. Lots of waiting around to either take orders or for the food to arrive. The food was a nice and tasty that made me give 3 star

Recently went for a happy hour. The happy hour menu offers $5 margaritas which were OK, they seemed to have too much syrup for my taste. I also ordered Baja tostidita and it was frankly too small for my taste. It was about the size of a corn tortilla chip and for $5 dollars I was expecting it to be a little bit more. The service was pretty slow, but it could be because they want to space the timing of your happy hour purchases. It would hesitate to recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Amazing dishes from South of the Border, and by that I mean not only Mexico but from way down south like Argentina, Chile, etc. Yummy Mexican gourmet foods like tacos and beans, or delish empanadas. Love their cocktails too, like Mojito. Been here twice. Once while going to the Dorothy Chandler for a performance. BTW, a free shuttle can bring you to the restaurant; and also visited while staying across the street at the Bonaventure Hotel. Servers and chefs are all pros.
