It's a teensy bit hipster, what with the amazing bacon tater tots and deviled eggs and all, but it's good. So good. Brilliant beer list, good wine, and the food is outstanding. Happy hour is great. Staff are consistently good, with knowledge of the booze and foods. Cocktail program is solid, with some real standouts. Try the shrub if they have it, and the quinoa (I know, right?) is great.

The concept of this place is fabulous! And the beer selection wins! Food choices are a bit limited, though, anything you choose will be delicious. The Moroccan Chicken Lettuce Cups are too die for!

Sat at the bar to watch football and had a great time. Bar tenders were personable and friendly, very knowledgeable as well when it came to beer. We had the CCB, Fish n Chips, and an order of the Cheese and Bacon tots. the CCB and Tots were awesome, fish n chips were tasty but lacked the crunch we both like. Overall liked it and will add it in to our DT Culver City rotation with the likes of City Tavern, Rush St, and Father's Office.

Been here twice now, gave them another chance after slow service the first time. Second time service was mediocre, it seems like every waiter / waitress dislikes their job there. Food arrived luke warm, appetizer was forgotten (then subsequently on the house). Another major aspect to your experience at Public School will be whether or not you sit inside or outside, they're much different experiences. Inside decor is pretty nice and interesting, while outside is an uninspired crammed patio setting. Bangers and mash is excellent, shrimp pasta is forgetful, great beer selection though so I may return for a drink and a snack, certainly not for dinner though.

Food is consistently above average. The happy hour is great, especially the lavash. They have an excellent beer and cocktail menu, but the wines are so-so.

A very cute spot in downtown Culver City - I love that they really stand behind their school theme. Their menus, napkins, and even drinks follow the theme and are super cute! I had the Apple Juice 2.0 and it was delicious. I would definitely come back if I were in the area. :)
