The idea described in the article saved the client thousands of dollars and they generate a lot of social activity while flooding their dealership. I remember the service director being very nervous due to the amount of calls and how much they would have to give away. My theory was they didn't have the cost of direct mail so even if they did give away 150 oil changes it would be a "wash." Turns out they quadrupled their sales and had a response rate of 15% vs. the average 1% for direct mail! 

We sent a segmented email to only those with Facebook accounts. Out of 20,000 people on their list we only sent the email to 1000 people. Pretty good ROI.

Now this is impressive. 4 hours ago we interviewed a nice girl for an account manager position. She was very qualified but the question was asked- does she have hustle? 4 hours later she hand delivers thank you cards. Not for me but for everyone she met with!
