Fate and horror.

Yet another step in trying to understand the concession mechanics, so bear with me.

The question is, how well-suited is Fate as a rules system where the goal is a sort of survival horror scenario where the main tension in any encounter is "Will my character survive this scene?"

Outside the horror genre, there's the fantasy "dungeon survival" playstyle. Think "Tomb of Horrors."

It seems very, very easy to stay alive in vanilla Fate. I'm a little at a loss for how a game like this would work without hacks. Players could just immediately concede in any scene where threats show up, thus never risking death at all.
