Jensen 541 - 
The 541 of 1954-59, successor to the Jensen Interceptor, was a luxurious 4-seater grand tourer, with a well equipped interior. Priced at £1,821, it used a fibreglass body on a steel chassis, with a curb weight of 1220 kg. It was powered by a BMC 4 litre, straight-6 engine, that developed 152 bhp at 4100 rpm, and 227 ft/lbs of torque at 2400 rpm. Fitted with a 4-speed manual overdrive gearbox, a 7.6:1 compression, and 3 SU carbs, it produced a top speed of 128 mph, with 0-60 in 10.6 secs. It used independent front and solid axle rear suspension, and Dunlop disc brakes all round (from 1956). A total of 226 units were finally built.
