The omakase is omg! Such an incredibly fresh, wide range of fish. The chefs and servers were all very nice. The sake selection, while limited, was also quite good. I can't, however say that it was the best sushi restaurant I've ever been too, because of one fatal flaw: the location and decor. Granted, this is probably what makes it possible to actually get a seat here, but... I do have to say, that it's not a great date night. Better with friends. And yes, as others have stated, it is pricey. But you get what you pay for. Great fish. And at the end of the day, that's what's most important. P.S. Do NOT go hear if you are not a hardcore sushi lover. This is not the place for spicy tuna and C-rolls. That's Roku.

Sushi Park is the unsung hero of L.A.’s restaurant scene. Located on the second floor of a strip mall on Sunset Blvd, Sushi Park doesn’t look like the place with the best sushi in town, but it is. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is incredible. The seafood absolutely melts in your mouth. Just beware, you won’t find any California rolls or spicy tuna rolls at this hardcore sashmi/nigiri place. Get adventurous and take a seat at the sushi bar for omakase, the chef’s tasting menu. For $80, you’ll be treated to course after course of the softest, most buttery seafood you’ve ever eaten and, if you’re lucky, the blue crab hand roll.

Nothing compares to the omakase. Everything is fresh. Plus, the chefs are super nice and friendly. Kanpai!

i've lived overseas in tokyo for 4 years so have a decent bar for sushi and sushi park did not disappoint. it was the low-key, authentic sushi bar feel like you were sitting in roppongi. the sushi is very authentic and comes in waves that the chefs prepares - not that you order. we had about 7 plates and it was all delicious - lots of tuna, eel, shrimp and lots of other tasty rawness.
