The old door is where our contractor is standing. The new door will be about where the tool box is. This will let us move the toilet to the old door area. The sink will stay in the same place, but we will have a much smaller sink.

You are telling me! There used to be a wall there!

You'd sag, too, if you were 164 years old.

Bathroom progress. Leveling the floor. The new braces are about 2+" taller at this far end.

The washer and dryer will be against the back wall. Basically, the washer hookup you see now, will stay in the same spot, but just flip around to the other side. The wall at the edge of the carpet will need to be rebuilt.

I will reuse the cabinets I took out of my kitchen and put them above the washer and dryer. I will use one of my old doors and hang it on barn rails on the outside of the new wall, to save space in the bathroom/laundry area.

Diary of a Sad Painter is my journey to paint my kitchen. Five different colors with the added challenge of board and batten, planked ceiling, cabinetry, open shelves and crown molding all painted with at least 1 coat primer and 2 or more coats of paint. It's enough to make a girl go a little cray cray. #whatwasithinking #kitchenremodeling #hometalktuesday

The projects that are the most grueling, turn out to be the most gratifying. Look what you have accomplished! Magazine worthy!!!

The rotted floor which meant ripping out a wall to fix. Lovely.

The mess! This needs to change to account for the new doorway. These pipes run right through where we are putting the new door.

The toilet drain will be moved to where our contractor is standing in this picture. The bathtub drain will be where the toilet drain is.

I love going to church each Sunday. The Mansfield Ward meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sacrament meeting, 11:15 a.m. for Sunday School/Primary, and at 12:10 p.m., for Priesthood/Relief Society/Young Men's & Young Women's meetings. We meet on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for mid-week activities for Scouts and youth. We have a great ward and welcome any and all visitors.
