Calling all technophiles! Google brings two cutting edge technology conferences to Malaysia
As part of our ongoing effort to support technology innovation in Malaysia, we will host our first annual g|Malaysia event in Kuala Lumpur from October 3-4, 2012 at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel.
Day 1 is suitable for marketers, webmasters, government and entrepreneurs. Non-technical and technical presentations will focus on Google products, platforms, tips and trends for businesses. Attendees will also get to see awesome applications built by Malaysian developers for Malaysia and the world.
Day 2 is suitable for academe -- university faculty staff and students. Presentations will focus on Google products such as apps for education, programmes and opportunities that are beneficial for universities, such as Google-sponsored university programs and internships. Attendees will also get to hear about university student experiences with Google.
We're looking forward to engaging with Malaysians who are as passionate about technology as we are! Registration is free through this link: gmalaysia12
. And g|Malaysia isn’t just about us—we also want to showcase Malaysian talents. If you have created or built something cool using a Google product, tell us about it while registering and you might get the chance to present at g|Malaysia!
Day 2 will also be for developers. On October 4th, we’re also hosting GDG DevFest Malaysia, which is a community-organised event that connects Malaysian developers to Google developer advocates and engineers. There will be introductory and medium-level sessions on best practices for using Google technologies like App Engine, Web Services, HTML5 and Android.

g|Malaysia and GDG DevFest Malaysia are part of our broader effort to stimulate innovation across the web. By building developer products using open web standards and open source licenses, we can help move the web forward. Our APIs reach millions of people, and enable developers to build great application on top of our existing products and platforms. More great apps make the web better for everyone, both across the world and here in Malaysia.
