an interesting read indeed.

This subject can be argued differently as people have different understanding of the definitions of the subject matter. Not to mention as pointed by the author regarding moral (lines that cannot be crossed) lines. What seems to be immoral today, might change in a decade.

from the vague definition also, presents a weakness in terms of legal loopholes. Military research can still be done by circumventing these loopholes. This is not taking account of the top secret project that might not seen the light of the day due to the nature of the experiments done.

Calling all technophiles! Google brings two cutting edge technology conferences to Malaysia

As part of our ongoing effort to support technology innovation in Malaysia, we will host our first annual g|Malaysia event in Kuala Lumpur from October 3-4, 2012 at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel.

Day 1 is suitable for marketers, webmasters, government and entrepreneurs. Non-technical and technical presentations will focus on Google products, platforms, tips and trends for businesses. Attendees will also get to see awesome applications built by Malaysian developers for Malaysia and the world.

Day 2 is suitable for academe -- university faculty staff and students. Presentations will focus on Google products such as apps for education, programmes and opportunities that are beneficial for universities, such as Google-sponsored university programs and internships. Attendees will also get to hear about university student experiences with Google.

We're looking forward to engaging with Malaysians who are as passionate about technology as we are! Registration is free through this link: gmalaysia12. And g|Malaysia isn’t just about us—we also want to showcase Malaysian talents. If you have created or built something cool using a Google product, tell us about it while registering and you might get the chance to present at g|Malaysia!

Day 2 will also be for developers. On October 4th, we’re also hosting GDG DevFest Malaysia, which is a community-organised event that connects Malaysian developers to Google developer advocates and engineers. There will be introductory and medium-level sessions on best practices for using Google technologies like App Engine, Web Services, HTML5 and Android.

Registration for GDG DevFest Malaysia is free through this link: http://devfestkl.appspot.com.

g|Malaysia and GDG DevFest Malaysia are part of our broader effort to stimulate innovation across the web. By building developer products using open web standards and open source licenses, we can help move the web forward. Our APIs reach millions of people, and enable developers to build great application on top of our existing products and platforms. More great apps make the web better for everyone, both across the world and here in Malaysia.

I like the male clutch. It's more like a stylish portfolio. If you have just a few things to carry around, then why not?

Yeah, it's called the 'iPotty.'

A special iPad-holding toilet (complete with a "splash guard" for the iPad) is designed to help toilet-train toddlers. Parents are invited to choose from the variety of toilet-training apps already available in the iOS app store.

In other news, there is a variety of toilet-training apps already available in the iOS app store.

True. So people, don't ruin 'my space' by turning it facebook-ish or myspace-y.

Google+ is a Personal Discussion Forum

I've been trying to explain to people why I like Google+ so much, and over this process, I've been shortening and shortening my description. Here's where I'm at:

Google+ is a Personal Discussion Forum

The web is filled with discussion forums that focus on a single topic, like space, or web development, or cooking, etc. That's where you go to talk about the things that interest you. And then those forums (fora?) have an "off-topic" section where you talk about your interests that don't match the mission of the forum. And often those off-topic sections are often more popular than the main forum itself.

Google+ is kind of like having all those forums in one place, wrapped around you, so you can talk about your various interests and interact with other enthusiasts simultaneously.

Nothing is off-topic.
