Tom van Bodegraven: +Dr.Phôsferrous PanAgLab Provided no animals, people or large established trees are hurt, I see no problems. In many cases, passive protest just does not work. A delegation of Maori warriors came over from New Zealand (the country I am in) in support of the pipeline protesters. I felt really proud of these brave Maori warriors, and all the other international efforts. Sadly it all was to no avail. This is why I believe direct action is in some cases the only way forward. Our world is on the brink and we must act decisively.

Tom van Bodegraven: I admire these intelligent well-spoken women for what they have done. I firmly believe that sabotage of this pipeline will be ongoing. First nation people have been sidelined, farmers have been sidelined and whole comunities have been ignored. This type of thing may be ok in North Korea but should confiscation of land from farmers and native people be ok in the "free" world? Is riding roughshod over people an ok thing to do? On top of that, should we be bothered much longer with coal and oil? I feel bad for these two as they will face many years in jail. I hope their faith and conviction will help them. They have my support.

Dr.Phôsferrous PanAgLab: +Martin Lewitt they used their political power to get around safety checks, property laws, and federal regulations. I'm not saying trucks and trains are a better way to move oil, but pipelines leak all the time and people who didn't want it were forced at gunpoint to accept it.
That sets a very bad precedent, letting the rich and powerful do whatever they want, regardless of existing laws, and jailing/teargassing dissenters.

Tom van Bodegraven: +Ronald Collins It's the "delusional Idiots" that keep this Trump circus going. Instead of being concerned about transgender people, they should ask themselves:
Have we brought any jobs back home?

Have the coal miners got their jobs back?

Are people earning more?

Will we ever build that wall?

In the mean time, The Trump family and their rich business buddies are lining their pockets. President Trump has not achieved a single thing since becoming regime leader. This latest transgender farce is another example; the US military commanders have stated today: they will not make any changes to current recruitment eligibility. These commanders are simply ignoring Trump. No doubt Trumpie will take to Twitter again. Even "delusional Idiots" would detect that something is not right.
