Long-established, no frills, traditional fish and chips restaurant with table service.- Google
People talk about pickled onions, cod and chips, tartar sauce, bread and butter and mushy peas

Always good chips and staff are friendly enough so I happily go back. I often go in a group from work and this can cause some fraction at the (small) takeaway bar so its worth phoning orders in ahead if you're planning on arriving en masse!

Impressed! Stepped in, place smells like fried fish that stick to clothes -1. The welcoming committee and decor was "meh" -1. Here it gets interesting. Complimentary shrimp & bread starter !!! +2. The calamari was so so. Master special cod was thick, long and lightly battered +2. Enormous amount of tartar/ketchup provided +1. Pickle and onion condiments +1. All food served very piping hot! Interesting, alternative menu selections +1. Unimaginative beer selection -1. Cabbie regulars (+1 for reputation). Finally verdict, 5 stars!

Best fish and chips in London. Staff can be a bit brusque but once they get to know you are, they are charming. Cod and Haddock are outstanding and I love the extra touches such as free prawns, pickles and dishes of tartar and ketchup. Great before visiting the theatres nearby.

I absolutely love the seafood platter here for sharing, especially if you come with a few friends. The platter consists of fresh seafood in just the right amount of batter and of course, chips. The people here are friendly and service is rather prompt. Masters Super Fish has the welcoming warmth and smell of a chip-shop in a cosy environment still good enough for some chatter. What could be better than conversation over some chips? Perfect comfort food in a comfy place.

The place is not the traditional type of restaurant. It offers a strange mix of traditional British cuisine and seafood. Cod and chips was amazing and I loved the smooth, soft fish inside the crispy bread crumb coating. There are always lots of people having lunch here so it's generally a good place to eat.

Delicious food but very rude staff. I don't know why people behave so rudely when all they want is too keep your customers, well being friendly might help you with that. I don't know if the food is worth it if you can't enjoy it in a nice atmosphere.
