I just had a weird game on MTGO that ended in a way I didn't expect.

My opponent played a Trostani, which I cloned.
He then played a Rhox Faithmender, which he then copied with a Progenitor Mimic.
After he got his token from the Mimic, I myself played Progenitor Mimic on his token (which makes two tokens instead of one). We each cloned some more tokens.

This went on for a bit until both of us hit the hard limit of 32,767 life on MTGO. I had 28 Rhox Faithmenders out (and a Trostani) and was planning on playing a Mimic on his Voracious Worm so I could eventually swing for 33,000 damage or so (after playing an overloaded Cyclonic Rift). Not much we could have done otherwise, attacking with Faithmenders doesn't really do much, does it and the rest of my creatures didn't matter as much, either.

However, on Turn 21 I had ten triggers from "Rhox Mimic" tokens on the stack and when #29 resolved and ETB, the game suddenly changed my life to -32,767 and I lost.

My Faithmender multiplier was at 268.435.456 (with the 28th, although make that 2x for the 29th) at this time, gaining me 1,342,177,280 life (in theory) for the first token, and 1,374,389,534,720 life from the last (sure, the hard limit still applies).

Why did my life total suddenly go 65,534 points down!?

This strange guy (most likely female) lives in a hole in a tree.
Only comes out when it's warm, so not these days. 11°C and rainy, yet again. Not shooting much macro in these conditions :/.

The hole diameter is around 1.25mm.

Shot with a Pentax Q, handheld, with a 100/5.6 enlarger lens taped on a helicoid (ff-equivalent 560mm).
Don't try this at home ;).

G+, you're stale again.
There should have been thousands of new posts, but I still see only a few new ones since yesterday.

I was experimenting with three flashes in this picture, but this beast wouldn't want to sit still. Pretty carapace, though.

Suddenly, spring summer (finally!).

So, I hurried into the botanical garden 20 minutes before closing, not much time to get into photographing. Well, that's what I took home.

So, apparently video is a thing.
I did an experiment with my Pentax Q, turned out... well -- "okay".
The technical circumstances need some improvement ;).

I don't share often, but when I do it has a reason.
+H Shige is an underwater photographer from Okinawa who does awesome underwater(!) photomacrography. Make sure to check him out!

When I looked for my lost raw files yesterday, I found an old directory with images from long ago. This is from 2004 when I was on vacation in South Tyrol, showing a part of the Dolomiti.
It's a handheld panorama made with an old Canon bridge camera (Powershot S1 or so) I now stitched together in Photoshop.
