Meet Robot Vera, the latest AI development to hit Human Resources

#Robot #Vera #recruitment #robotrecruiter #Jobboard Finder #ArtificialIntelligence #HumanResources

https://www.jobboardfinder.com/news/robot-vera/

Today on the blog we have Vera, a robot whose creators claim is 10 times faster than humans and can reduce hiring costs by 50%! Inditex, Pepsi, L'Oréal and Ikea are some of the employers that have benefited from this robot recruiter. What is Robot Vera exactly and how is it revolutionising the HR world? Read on to find out more!

About Stafory and the creators of Robot Vera
Stafory was founded in 2013 by two young developpers, Vladimir Sveshnikov (28) and Alexander Uraksin (29). It offers specialised online recruitment services and connects HR Agencies with employers in Russia.

The Robot Vera Project (Vera means faith in Russian) was born in 2016 after the founders of Stafory found themselves spending too much time trying to reach and follow up on candidates. They felt like robots themselves and decided to create an automated solution.

It has now become an award-winning StartUp that works with more than 300 companies around the globe.

“We felt like robots ourselves, so we figured it was better to automate the task” says Alexander Uraksin

How Robot Vera works
It is very simple. Recruiters send a detailed job description with the requirements, skills and experience needed for the vacancy as well as a list of interview questions.

Vera receives this information and starts her search for the ideal candidate. She scans through CVs from the 5 different job sites, makes a selection of the most suitable candidates, sends them the job decription and calls/interviews them. Vera does not make the last decision but schedules a final interview with the employer.

The founders claim Vera is 10 times faster than humans and that it can help employers reduce recruitment costs by 50% as all of this is done within 3 hours.

With voice-recognition software and more than 13 billion words, this robot recruiter can interact with humans naturally and is currently being programmed to recognise certain emotions (anger, disappointment and excitement).

Compared to other artificial intelligence (AI) solutions (such as Mya and Woo's AI head hunter), Vera is the only one able to interview hundreds of candidates simultaneously.

The future of Robot Vera
Robot Vera is unique in its kind and offers multiple advantages to companies worldwide hiring at a big scale. It can complete thousands of phone calls simultaneously, in different time zones and 24/7.

After great success in Russia with reknown corporates such as IKEA, Pepsico, Castorama, Raiffeisen Bank and Coca-Cola, Vera is ready to reach out to the rest of the world. It was  launched in the US last spring but the tests done showed the robot needed developments and new functionalities.

The Stafory Team has just launched the Alpha-version with better English and improved functionalities. It is aiming to do a test launch in China in June 2018 and in at least one European country in September 2018.

Stafory plans to continue to improve Vera by adding new functionalities and adapting her interview style to different job descriptions. In addition, the Stafory Team aims to make her sound as human as possible within 2 years time

Facts - Robot Vera:

Has already completed 440,000 phone calls and 2,300 interviews
Interviews thousands of candidates via phone and video calls at the same time
Creates custom email replies
Deletes duplicate CVs
Can work on different vacancies simultaneously
Is avalaible in Russian and English
Almost every day, we are seeing new trends and tools being developed to help improve Talent Acquisition. Robot Vera is the latest one, but do you think Artificial Intelligence is here to stay? Will it take over the recruitment world? Will interviews with robots be the norm in the future? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!

We hope you have found this article "Meet Robot Vera, the latest AI development to hit Human Resources" useful! Please let us know if you'd like us to cover any specific topics in the Jobboard Finder blog

Rocket Internet closes job boards in Bangladesh and Myanmar

2 years after purchasing everjobs.com and work.com.mm, Rocket Internet has decided to officially close these job boards in Bangladesh and Myanmar. After years of leading the way in the South East recruitment market, everjobs.com and work.com.mm no longer exist. With this in mind, Jobboard Finder is here to show recruiters and job seekers alternative platforms. Read on!

What is Rocket Internet? What are the alternatives for finding job offers and recruiting in Bangladesh and in Myanmar?

Rocket Internet
Rocket Internet is a German company especialised in the investment and launching of international online businesses. Founded in 2007 by the Samyer brothers, this Berlin-based company is now valued at 3.8 billion Euros and has more than 20,000 employees.

Rocket Internet has invested in companies in over 100 countries and in a broad range of industries. From Fashion (Zalando), Beauty (Glossybox) and Homeware (WestWing and Home24). To Travel, Online Food and Groceries Delivery (HelloFresh) and General Merchandise.

Rocket Internet's business model aims to transform young start-ups into multimillion business to then sell them at a profit. Even though the original idea was to create start-ups, this Berlin-based company is now known for being a "clone factory". Rocket Internet takes high profitable business ideas (mainly from the US), creates replicas and takes them to new and fast-growing markets. Their business model is very unique and provides start-ups with immediate  access to capital and operational and business insight.

They have invested and continue to invest in emerging countries in Africa (Jumia in Nigeria) and Asia (Foodpanda). There are no official reasons as to why Rocket Internet has decided to shut down both job boards in Bangladesh and Myanmar. However, the problem may be caused by a number of recent challenges. Some of these include failed investments, the departure of founding members and the loss of shareholders (last year, the Swedish investment company Kinnevik, sold half of its shares (6%)). Consequently, Rocket Internet's credibility has been affected and many investors question its business model.

Check out our latest blog article entitled Why use job boards to recruit to find out about the #advantages!

#recruitment #recruitmenttools #jobboards #Jobboard Finder

With the use of social media growing at a fast rate and slowly finding its way into the recruiment world, many believe job boards will soon become obsolete. However, many forget job boards offer recruiters incredibily useful, valuable and unique tools and opportunities.  If you're wondering "Why use job boards to recruit?", this is the article for you. Read on to find out more!

Jobboard Finder has made a list of the advantages of using online job platforms in order to recruit and find the best talent.

Branding
Most job boards have a recruiters section with company profiles. These represent a great branding opportunity for all types of organisations as they can present themselves, their values, mission and objectives. You can display your company logo, explain why you're hiring,  your industry and your history. You can also add custom links to promote your brand and redirect candidates to your website and social media profiles. Some platforms even have reviews from past employees!

Such descriptions give candidates a great insight and valuable information about companies. Reading them helps them save time doing research, makes them feel more prepared and are consequently, more comfortable sending their applications.

It's a win-win situation for companies and candidates!

Save $$$
Posting adverts on job boards is a much more cost-effective solution than working with expensive recruitment agencies. You will have to pay HR professionals a percentage of your candidate's salary, whereas the price for posting on a job board won't ever come close to this.

On the other hand, recruiting abroad is even more challenging and there is the added stress of not speaking the local language (an consequently, not receiving local prices), not knowing the culture nor employment trends.

Some job boards have an English version for international recruiters, however this is not always the case. For this reason, Jobboard Finder can help you find the best job boards abroad and with the lowest prices in the market. We help our clients by finding the most suitable job board for their recruitment needs.

Variety and better quality of candidates
The use of social media only enables you to approach a small sample of the population. While with job boards you are reaching a wider and more diverse audience. If, for example, you're looking to cover a specialised position. Social media doesn't offer the possibility to single-out candidates. Whereas with niche job boards, you can directly access people skilled in your chosen field. Consequently, the number as well as the quality of applications you receive, will be more likely to match your expectations.

A recent study from Linkedin showed how job boards are the first thing 60% of people check to look for jobs.

Wide coverage
Maybe you are not a well-known company or you career site doesn't receive a lot of traffic. You might not even have a website or a careers site. A job offer posted on a job board is seen by thousands of people within minutes of its publication.

For this reason, job boards are a great tool to launch your vacancies. These platforms invest a lot of work and money in their systems. They are designed to ensure visibility and receive a lot of traffic. You should take advantage of this as they guarantee a level of coverage you might not be able to accomplish yourself.

Save time and optimise your recruitment campaigns
Time is very valuable and job boards know that. Thanks to the options offered by job boards,  the recruitment process is made easier and faster. Specialised job boards offer immediate access to candidates qualified in your chosen field. This saves employers time spent flicking through unsuitable CVs and applications

Furthermore, there are different possibilities for receiving and managing applications. Some of these include: integration with your ATS (Application Tracking System), posting your advert on other job boards or agregators and receving applications by email.

For both employers and job seekers, Jobboard Finder is the first decision-making tool for recruitment campaigns and job searches. By gathering tools and services that recruiters can use to search and compare employment websites from all over the world to find the best job search sites, it really is the best solution for recruitment needs. Today recruiters can also purchase job advertisements for the media they have selected and manage their postings directly from our unique platform. Then they can rate and review the job boards they have used in the past for our community of professionals to see.

Find out how to improve your candidate experience!

#candidateexperience #recruitment #Gestmax #JobboardFinder

What is candidate experience? Why does it matter? and most importantly, how to improve candidate experience?

Successful organisations are very aware of the value of candidate experience and take action to guarantee it is always positive. Read on to find out more!

Companies must take great care to create clear recruitment campaigns, guiding candidates through the process and treating them correctly.

www.jobboardfinder.com/news
The 2017 Candidate Experience Research Report carried out by the not-for-profit organisation, Talent Board, shows the impact od candidate experience. The report shows how 82% of the people surveyed said they would refer a specific post when having a satisfactory candidate experience. Read on to find out more about how to improve candidate experience!

What is candidate experience?
It is the impression candidates get from the recruitment process of a company and the impact this has on their feelings and opinions towards it. It includes the entire hiring process, starting with the first contact job seekers have with the company (coporate career site) to reaching the very final point of communication (be it a job offer or the rejection of a candidate).

Why candidate experience matters
Providing a positive candidate experience gives companies the upper hand as it helps improve their branding. The more pleasant the candidate experience is, the higher the corporate reputation will be. Similarly, if candidates feel frustrated and drained by a complicated hiring process, they will lose interest in your business and the job.

According to the report from Talent Board, 81% of candidates surveyed said their opinion about a company changed based on their candidate experience. And 34% stated they were willing to share their bad candidate experience on social media (Linkedin, Glassdoor...)

How to improve candidate experience
Here are some ideas on how to improve candidate experience:

Straightforward online application process
In another study from Career Builder 76% of candidates surveyed said they want to know how long it will take them to complete an application before starting it. Your time, as well as the candidate's time, is very valuable. You need to take this into account as they might be employed and can therefore not spend 2 hours trying to fill in a tedious application. ou must create a simple application process in order for candidates to complete it

How to improve candidate experience
Communicate and explain the recruitment process
58% of companies do not tell candidates how long the recruitment process lasts. Candidates complain about this lack of communication as they do not have enough information and often don't know the status of their application.

There are some simple steps you can follow in order to communicate better and therefore improve your candidate experience . Send an email letting the candidate know their application has been received and when they will hear back, call them instead of sending an email, send follow-up emails and give feedback on the interview.

A very useful tool and recruitment software to optimise communication with candidates is the Kioskemploi Gestmax. This software helps companies manage their applications and save time by centralising all of the information in one place. Thanks to Gestmax, recruiters can easily organise video interviews, create personalised candidate pools and directly send skill tests and reminders to candidates.

Explaining each element involved in the hiring process is key in helping improve candidate experience. Guide the candidate through the whole process with consistent communication. Tell them the deadlines and what documents have to be sent. Even when a candidate is rejected you must let them know you won't be taking things further

Good treatment
Emails should be welcoming and give clear information.

Attention to detail is very important as well. When a candidate goes to the office for an interview, make sure they feel welcome and at ease. A friendly welcome from the company recepcionist, offering something to drink, having clear directions within the building and not making applicants wait too long in the lobby are only some examples.

Ask candidates for feedback
The Talent Board report shows how 42% of companies admit they never ask candidates for feedback about their recruitment process. In the same way candidates want to receive feedback on their performance to see how they can improve; companies should do the same.

This offers organisations the opportunity to get first hand information. They learn what needs improvement and what made the experience satisfactory. Again, do not make the feedback survey tedious as it may have a negative impact on candidate experience.

It is also great for branding. It shows you are concerned about candidate experience and want to know the opinion of applicants are of great value to the company.

Recruitment offers you the possibility of working with a broad range of companies, sectors, job openings as well as different types of people (candidates, managers, executives…). No two days are the same. One day you might be running interview sessions and filling in administrative documents. And the next day you’re giving advice on how to deal with a problematic worker and negotiating pay rises. HR consultants are able to understand how each industry works and know the culture of every company. You become a brand ambassador and in order to sell a job, you must first know the company.

Progression opportunities
Hard workers can easily progress and find their way up the top of the HR&Recruitment industry. Performance is very easily assessed and therefore, if you prove to deliver results, you will be rewarded accordingly. Unlike other industries, your age, degree or years of experience are not key players when it comes to obtaining a promotion.

Financial and contractual benefits
HR professional are very well remunerated as the service they provide is of high-value to any organisation. Salaries vary depending on the sector and city but they are usually composed of a basic salary and commissions. It is great for graduates looking to pay back back their student loans as the starting annual salary for trainee consultants is £15,0000 to £20,000. On the other hand, directors can earn up to £95,000 in a year.

The better results you can deliver, the higher your pay will be. In addition, you can earn up to £7000 in commissions and bonuses. Some other benefits HR Agencies offer are: reward schemes for the best perfoming team or consultant, pension contributions, company car and phone, childcare support, company meals and all-expenses paid trips abroad to exotic places

Scope for development
Recruitment agencies work with and for people. They understand the value of employees and consequently, invest a lot in their staff. Coaching, busines experience, training and mentorship are all provided to ensure their employees adapt sucessfully and are able to exploit their potential and progress in the industry.

Travel opportunities
Another perk from working in HR, is the opportunity to travel and develop a career abroad. Many HR Agencies have offices across the globe and if you are interested in living permanently in a different country, you could ask to relocate. You may have to recruit candidates for global vacancies, interact with different languages, usedifferent languages attend conferences,  or university campuses and have the chance to discover new places.

Why choose a career in Recruitment

High level of excitement and impact on society
HR Agencies have a great impact and make a difference in society. They not only help candidates by giving expertise advice, access to a large network and eventually helping them find the right job. But they also help companies save time and enhance their performance by recruiting high-value candidates. The excitement and satisfaction comes with helping someone land their dream job and also seeing you've contributed to business success. Finding the best talent could mean the development of valuable and profitable projects.

Challenge
Finally, if you love a good challenge, then recruitment is the way to go. The variety of work and satisfaction mentioned above are what make Recruitment so interesting and exciting. #jobinterview #questions #beprepared #interviewtips #JobboardFinder

https://www.jobboardfinder.com/news/questions-to-ask-at-the-end-of-an-interview/

Asking  questions to your interviewer is a great way of finding out more about your future employee as well as the place you're going to be spending 40 hours every week. You can make a list of the topics you would like to ask about in advance. However, if your questions are covered during the interview or you lack inspiration, here is a list of 8 questions to ask at the end of a job interview!

You do not have to ask each and every one of the following questions but on average, the recommended amount is at least 2. These will not only help you prove you have prepared and have done research and show you have genuine interest in the job. But they will also help you discover details about the position that may not appear in the job description.

Do you have any questions for me?

Yes!

1. What is a normal day in this position like?
Learn what the day-to-day is like and see if you can envision yourself in the job. You will learn what tasks take up most time and what skills you might have to use. At the same time it will give you an idea of some of the new skills you might acquire and if you'd be happy doing that every day

2. Could you tell me a bit about the company culture?
This is usually covered during the interview, but if this is not the case, don't be afraid to ask about it! You want to know how the company is structured and how each department interacts with each other and therefore find out if you will fit in or not. Make sure the values mentioned appeal to you and meet your expectations

Get to know your future colleagues without actually meeting them. This is the best the way of getting a good idea of how people interact with each other and structure their work within each department.

3. What are some of the challenges I may face in this position?
This question allows you to find out more 'dirty' details that may not necessary appear on the job description. You don't only want to know the benefits of the job but also some of its possible disadvantages. You might have had to deal with similar challenges before so asking this enables you to explain how you've overcome them and give evidence of how your skills can save the day. With this question you can also show you're motivated and ready to take on the responsibilty.

4. What made you want to work in this company?
Interviews focus on the candidates and asking your interviewee a more personal question will allow you to engage and connect with them in a less professional way. You will be able to obtain first-hand experiences from someone within the organisation. Their reaction will give you a great insight into what working in the company is like and assess if you'd fit into it the company.

5. How do you evaluate success?
Knowing how your success may be assessed is extremely important. This question will help you learn if you can deliver and how you will be evaluated. Furthermore, it can help you decide if the company offers the advancements you want in your career and if it's the right place for you!

6. Who would I be working with?
Find out who you're going to spend 40 hours each week. This is your chance to show interest in your future colleagues and also understand what your role may be and the hierarchical structure of the organisation

7. How does this role contribute to the company's development and success?
This is a great question as it shows interest in the company's mission and vision. You're not only thinking of your impact as an individual, but as a member of a team who wants to know how they will contribute to the future development of the organisation. As a candidate you can see if your vision of career path fits with the goals of the company.

8. What are the next steps and when will I hear back?
You should leave this for the very end. This will show your employee you're motivated and ready for the next step in the recruitment process. Knowing when they will get back to you will save you moments of stress, agony and continoulsy checking your phone. If you know they will get back to you in a couple of weeks, you can properly organise yourself and follow-up accordingly.

#YesJob #interview #jobboard #Indonesia

https://www.jobboardfinder.com/news/interview-with-yesjob/

This week we've had the chance to interview Melissa from YesJob, a start-up in Indonesia that offers innovative solutions to recruiters and job seekers. Launched in 2017, the YesJob mobile application (available both on Android and ios) allows job seekers and recruiters to connect with each other and find the perfect match.

Read on to find out more about this job board, how it works, its latest activity and future plans!

Can you tell us more about your job board and its current positioning in the international job board market?
We are a new job portal and currently focused on building out our job platform for the Indonesia market, our home market. We aim to be disruptive e-recruitment technology that competes heavily with the traditional and well established job boards in SE Asia.

At this time we are only available for use in Indonesia but have plans to expand regionally across SE Asia in the near term.

What are the specific features that make your job board different from your competitors?
We are the 1st Digital Recruiter and act as a Headhunter for our employer clients. The business has been built by a leading executive recruitment consultant who understands the problems faced by both employers and job seekers with traditional job boards.

We are also the 1st e-recruitment tool that can be used for absolutely any type of hiring / job. So we can cater to the needs of any type of employer and also job seeker.

Using our highly complex big data algorithm – called DRIve – we instantly connect Employers to the right job seekers for their job based on the employers specific job requirements. If a “Matched” job seeker is “Interested” in the employers job we automatically send the job seeker's Digital CV straight to the employer - for free. If the employer wishes to contact a job seeker they just have to pay a very small fee. So payment is only on success.

Listing a job is totally free, so is reviewing Digital CV’s of job seeker applicants.

We provide job seekers with instant access to the best jobs, based on their personal background, education, experience and skills. With no job search effort needed, every time an employer lists a job requiring someone with their profile of job seeker, we instantly send the job seeker a “Job Match Notification” straight to their mobile phone – anytime and anywhere.

So with absolutely no job search effort needed, job seekers are kept informed of interesting and exciting opportunities where employers are looking for someone just like them.

What can you say about the current traffic on your website? What countries are visiting more often?
Our traffic is currently 100% focused on Indonesia, both employers and job seekers located in Indonesia

How do you plan to develop your job board within the next few years? Any new projects?
We have many exciting ideas to make YesJob SE Asia’s number 1 e-recruitment platform.

As I say we aim to be truly disruptive technology!

What are the main challenges you will be facing in the coming years?
Overcoming existing well-established job boards that have had market dominance for over 10 years. Educating both employers and job seekers as to the unique points of YesJob, as it is a completely different business to traditional job boards.

What do you think about Jobboard Finder and why is it an advantage for you to be registered on our website?
We think Jobboard Finder is brilliant as it provides quick access to job board data that both employers and job seekers need.

The fact it is the world’s largest job board locator says it all.

Also as Jobboard Finder is global it is a perfect place to be registered as our company evolves and grows. We love the idea of a partnership with Jobboard Finder.

We wish Melissa and Yesjob all the best for the future, and look forward to seeing their ongoing success!
