don't understand how anyone can give this 5 stars. I guess their idea of a good Italian restaurant is The Olive Garden. We both agreed that, for the most part, they obviously opened up cans and arranged the contents on the plate. To give just one example, the black olives in the salad weren't even decent, much less good quality olives. They were those rubber black olives sold in cans that you can buy at CVS., as was pretty much everythtng else in the salad, and in everything else we ordered. We unfortunately bought a internet deal, which is why we wound up here (we wouldn't have noticed it otherwise), and even with the discount, it wasn't worth what we paid Actually, I wouldn't pay anything for this junk as I can open cans and arrange the contents on plates at home, and it would be better than this. UPDATE: I figured it out. People who gave this place good reviews MUST be thinking that they are reviewing Mario's on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, a totally different restaurant. There's no other explanation.

My first NY Pizza experience and it was pretty good. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was happy we stopped. It was the middle of the afternoon and we were the only one in the place so the service was good. One thing I thought was sort of strange was the fact when I asked for a beer, they checked a dorm-sized refrigerator to tell me they had one of one brand and a couple of another. So if you're thirsty for beer with your pizza, I'd suggest elsewhere.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately it wasn't what I ordered and the requested bread arrived after the wrong appetizer. The waiter opened by delivering fried rather than grilled calamari apologizing and proactively offering to take half off the dish since they were now out of calamari (which he forgot to do on 'the bill). My entree was wrong too, with the waiter again apologizing and for some reason bringing me a piece of 'free' chicken after we'd finished eating. My date did receive the entree she ordered, but we passed on dessert not knowing what I should order to get what I wanted. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. Today's price for annoyance: $39

The service here was amazing. Our waiter was so accommodating to our dietary restrictions. The food was great. I would definitely recommend the muscles marinara they were so tender and juicy. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing and romantic. The prices were extremely reasonable and the portions were generous. I would definitely recommend Marios

The place is in a very nice area. I visit NYC several times a year first place i go is Mario's. The linguini and clam sauce, cream of broccoli soup and their brick oven pizza is feast. The happy hour mango margaritas are excellent I drink too and I'm ready to go for the night. I wish they were open and Marios in Los Angeles

Great food, great price, not huge, would have trouble bringing big groups there, but worth it!
