What a wonderful analogy!  Thank you for sharing your insights!  Being a French-speaker, you'll appreciate something that happened when we lived in Africa in the 80's.  A lady came to the door selling avocados, and two-year old Jenny got all excited, exclaiming, "Avocado! Avocado!"  The lady thought she was saying, "Cadeau! Cadeau" (asking for a present), so when I bought a couple avocados, she gave one to Jenny and graciously said, "Cadeau."  And yes, I guess our sanctification (painful as it may sometimes be) is a gift, too, just like the avocado and just like our justification!

What a beautiful story!  But as a nurse I can't fathom how doctors and nurses could mock parents who were so honoring life.  What a commentary on the depths to which our society has fallen, growing hardened at seeing life cut short over and over again to the point where it seems normal to them.  We know another coupole who also gave life to their son although he only had one breath on earth before going into Jesus' arms.  Their beautiful, living testimony touched so many hearts and lives.  I still tear up at the thought of Baby Samuel.  I look forward to joining the queue in heaven to meet him as all the people whose lives were touched line up to hug him and tell him how much his short life meant to them.
