This was almost everything you'd want from a two Michelin star restaurant, great service, amazing ambiance, extensive (over priced) wine list and a great selection of other drinks with some fine single malt scotches to boot. However, I was not overwhelmed with the food. The seafood options to start were tasty, but overall I found the inventiveness of the food to be a bit lacking and the overall flavor profiles to be a little bland. This is not to say it was bad food, just that I was expecting slightly more from the flavor. I was also not completely full when I left this restaurant, which is very different to most other tasting menus I have experienced. The hot chocolate on the way out was a nice touch though, and just to reiterate, the service was impeccable!

Chef Michael and Lindsay Tusk “work magic” nightly at their “downright phenomenal” Downtown destination where “beautifully presented” Italian-French tasting menus showcasing Northern Californian ingredients are paired with a wine list filled with “cult favorites”, while the staff "takes care of every detail"; yes, it’s all "very pricey”, but ultimately it's “everything you want in a fine-dining experience”, especially now that a recent remodel of the “posh” setting (not reflected in the Decor score) introduced a chef's counter, two private dining rooms and a champagne bar and lounge with à la carte offerings. Learn more about Quince. What to order Tasting menus only Caviar menu (pictured) Insider tip: There's a vegetarian "Garden" tasting menu as imaginative as the regular tasting menu, as well a salon offering à la carte dishes priced between $14 and $38 for walk-in guests.

This place is exceptional. Do you like FANTASTIC service? The kind where the servers literally choreograph their food delivery? The kind that doesn't think you're weird for asking for more dessert to take home? Or the kind of place that gives you an impromptu kitchen and wine cellar tour with the head chef? Then you'll love this place. I cannot say enough about this place. Just go and experience it yourself. But remember to dress up a bit.

This is a high end restaurant. They accommodate vegetarians well & also those who don't drink alcohol. We had their vegetarian tasting menu. The food was very good & creative, using unique items such as herbs & other ingredients. You have to leave 3 hours to dine here. Afterwards, we were shown the kitchen - very clean & organized. Come here for a dining experience or special occasion. I did not give it a 5 as one item came to us which was not vegetarian, but they more than made up for that error with the manager personally checking everything after. I also don't give it a 5 given the high price. The Taj Campton Place still stands as my favorite high end place in this area.

We did the non vegetarian spring tasting menu and it was excellent. At the end of the meal we were full and pleased with the experience. The favours were rich but not overwhelming and, like at every respectable 5 stars restaurant, we received a sweet treat to bring home for the next day, in our case a canelé. The service was great and the staff is competent. We spent 3 1/2 hours there and time flew by. I would go back!
