Eau Claire, WI – Industrial Panels is pleased to introduce the MRD1808 Series 8.4" Dual LCD Rugged Rack Mount Monitor for COTS Military Displays and Industrial Environments. The MRD1808 Series has two high resolution LED 8.4" LCD displays in a standard EIA RS310 (7U) 19" rack mount. This rugged Rack Mount LCD Monitor was developed for the most extreme environments. Each Display has its own OSD controls and can display RS-170 (525 Line), RS343 (875 Line), or Interlace Formats with Differential Video input when required.

Each 8.4" monitor offers 450 nits (cd/m2) with either an Optically Bonded Anti-Reflective Panel or Touch Screen for superior optical performance in extreme environments. COTS Sealed Monitors offer a wide operational temperature range of -30C to +85C. Other features include: wide viewing angles of 80R/80L - 800U/60D, Picture-in-Picture, and Picture-Outside-Picture. All COTS Sealed Monitors manufactured by Industrial Panels have Solid State LED backlights for long life. These units are conformal coated and can be used for Rugged Marine Monitors.

The 8.4" Dual LCD Rugged Rack Mount Monitor is capable of operating with the latest controllers or with legacy video formats. As with all Rack Mount LCD Monitors designed by Industrial Panels, the customer can have various video inputs or AC/DC power per their requirements. Recently, Brunner Manufacturing in Mauston, WI contacted us regarding a Mazatrol CAM T-2 with a Sharp 8DSP40 CRT display monitor.  The old CRT monitor was failing and needed to be replaced.  Usually, we just send one of our model QES1512-205 LCD replacements to the customer for  an easy do-it yourself on site installation.   This case called for a little more hands-on effort.  When our LCD was installed the image would blink.  Efforts to provide signal filters and differential buffers to eliminate EMI noise carried on the horizontal and vertical sync lines did not solve the problem.  Ultimately, we sent two Engineers who determined that the video input termination was mismatched.

They performed some on the spot design work and solved the problem for this specific Mazak CNC control.  Customer was up and running within a couple of hours of their arrival.

Cincinnati Grinder CNC upgrade at Hanel Corporation in New Berlin, WI.

Here is the customer’s comment: Got it mounted Friday without shutting the grinder down.  There is a frame on the inside to hold the window panel.  The studs are welded to the front panel so had to make standoffs to clear.  Looks good.  So far everyone is happy.

Cincinnati Grinder CNC upgraded with a 14.1" LCD Monitor.
