Engineers at General Motors' new brake testing facility know the differences between moans, squeals, grinds, groans and grunts - annoying noises common to their work. Now, with a new brake chassis dynamometer, they can simulate braking in weather conditions that range from Alaska to a tropical island.

Chevrolet is committed to giving back to those who have given so much by serving our country. As a part of that commitment, Chevrolet recently teamed up with "The Today Show" to reunite Lt. Nathan Lowman with his wife, Cindy, and his daughter in a surprise homecoming that involved a little bit of undercover maneuvering.

Chevy trademarks 'Zora,' is a special Corvette on the way?

Automakers trademark names all the time, whether they want to protect some part of their past or if they are considering a model even far in the future. But occasionally a trademark pops up that is much more enticing than the rest. For example, General Motors recently reserved the name Zora for "motor land vehicles, namely, automobiles," according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

DETROIT - Stop/start technology will be standard on the 2015 Impala base 2.5-liter ECOTEC® engine, an addition that improves the vehicle's city fuel economy by nearly 5 percent, or one mile per gallon.
The Impala comes standard with a four-cylinder engine, which currently accounts for more than 30 percent of Impala retail sales. It offers customers higher mpg city ratings and a more affordable entry price into the segment than six-cylinder competitors.

Was traveling through Jacksonville when the water pump on my Traverse went out. Chevy Roadside Assistance had my car towed to Nimnitch. They suggested Jerry Ham Chevy as it was closer, but I had already called them and they were less than cordial. Matt in the Nimnitch service dept set with me up with a Silverado as a loaner because it was a Saturday morning and they could not diagnose and fix it until Monday. It was fixed by Monday afternoon. Great communication and service from everyone at Chevy and especially Nimnitch.

A refreshing take on the car-shopping experience I'll be honest with you: I dreaded car-shopping prior to visiting this place. My previous experience with car-shopping at other places made me a bit gun-shy about going to a dealership, but I figured that if my bank (USAA) recommended it, they must be doing something right. They weren't just doing SOMETHING right, they were doing EVERYTHING right. The whole process was fantastic was start to finish. There was no unscrupulous practice anywhere on the lot. Everything was well-kept and maintained to a high degree. My salesman, Jermain Jackson, was cordial and courteous during the whole process, ensuring that my needs were met before anything else. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new or used car!

Sight unseen, purchased my 06 Boxster from Nimnicht Chevy. Dave Freeland was an excellent Sales Consultant from start to finish! I live 1,400 miles away but Dave made it possible by taking extra pictures, taking phone calls on his day off, and going the extra mile to give me confidence in my purchase. I will not hesitate to call Dave for any future purchases. Thanks again!! Andrew K.

Last Friday, I got a wild hair up my bum and decided to go test drive Chevy Equinoxes. I'd been eyeing a new car for a while, but wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger. The reason I chose Nimnicht over other Chevy dealers in town was because of the fantastic experience I'd had about a year ago with their body shop. They'd gone above and beyond to take care of me after I'd been rear-ended, so I hoped their sales department would function in a similar fashion. I made an appointment online with Steve Job in internet sales, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Being a single girl, car stuff can be kind of intimidating. But there was nothing intimidating about my experience. Steve greeted me with a smile and before we started looking, we talked about what I was thinking budget-wise, must haves in a vehicle, likes, and don't-care-abouts. From there, he took me to look at a variety of Equinoxes. I was impressed with the number they had available. After we found the model I was looking for, we went for a test drive. Then we discussed options. I'm a very particular person, and there were a few minor details about the vehicle I wasn't crazy about. Steve worked with the accessories department to present me with options and we found a fantastic solution to fit my needs both financially and aesthetically. Overall, the entire buying experience was fantastic. Not super pressure-y, and they did a great job fitting my wants and needs. I absolutely love my new Equinox and recommend Nimnicht to anyone!

Bought a used car here in 2011, which was a great experience then. My car is now one of GM's recalled cars. I came in to the service department today to request a rental (which GM is offering free to owners of recalled cars), and the man that "helped" me, Randy Northrup, was incredibly rude right off the bat. I continued to be polite despite his attitude until my grandmother showed up, and he continued to be rude to her. I was appalled at the attitude he gave us. I will definitely be calling tomorrow to put in a complaint.

I took my car here for an alignment Monday and the car is finally driving straight. I did spend more money here compared to other places but I don't have to think about the issue anymore. Thanks for fixing this ;)
