Meet Julie Grotto, Engagement Director at Riverbend!

"After working with seniors for the last 25 years, I can honestly say that my favorite thing about being a Resident Engagement Director is helping residents actively engage in their Assisted Living community, both through developing personal connections and by introducing them to new programs and ideas or re-introducing them to pursuits they enjoyed earlier in their lives. I really enjoy thinking outside the box to adapt programs of all kinds for the community I serve. Even after all these years, I still find it really exciting to watch someone try something new or engage in a program they thought they’d never do again. I truly love getting to know the residents in my community and I learn from them every day."

Is your adult parent retired and looking for a way to make some extra money? First, think about what it is they like to do – what are their hobbies? From there consider outside-the-box ways they can profit from this interest. Ex. If mom enjoys pets, consider helping her setup a dog walking or pet-sitting business. #Retirement #Finances
