After many months of watching Google deploy Fiber, I have a new appreciation for how hard infrastructure is. It means moving poles, and digging holes, and fixing crap when you screw it up. Gigabit connections really are all that (seriously), but the customer service is an even better experience. Training this many people, this well, in this short period of time, relative to the incumbent competition should embarrass everyone in the market. The product is great, but the people are even better.
