Steve Mulder is Senior Director of Audience Insights at NPR, where he spearheads digital analytics and insights across the organization, ensuring that NPR and stations have a comprehensive understanding of the public radio audience across all digital platforms. As part of Digital Services, he launched an Analytics Service for NPR member stations that provides tailor-made measurement, reporting, and insights for the public radio system.
Previously, he was VP, Experience Strategy at Isobar, where he transformed customer insights and business and brand strategies into engaging online experiences that drive results. He is the author of The User Is Always Right: A Practical Guide to Creating and Using Personas for the Web and a regular speaker at web conferences. He has 15 years of experience in digital strategy, customer research, information architecture, interaction design, and usability. He has brought his expertise to a wide range of companies, including NPR, Nokia, Samsung, Philips, Adidas, Fidelity, Finish Line, TD Canada Trust, TripAdvisor, HumanaOne, Talbots, PC Connection, 3M, and Estee Lauder.
