I reserved an accessible room with a roll-in shower. At check-in around 3:00 pm the room was not available yet and had to settle for a room with an accessible tub because I needed to go ahead and unpack and did not want to have to move. Most hotels will have a shower chair to use in a tub. Not here, no shower chair. When your mobility is limited it is difficult to get in and out of a tub. Shower chairs make it much easier. Also, you would think an accessible room would have an accessible mirror, not the case here. Of the two mirrors in the room neither was low enough for me to see myself. This is a problem I encounter in many hotels but in many places at least if the bathroom mirror is low there will be a full-size mirror somewhere in the room. Not here. If only architects and designers would get in a wheelchair themselves and put themselves in my place, obviously that does not happen often.

i use to work at this hotel and i would never stay here after what i know. was fired for doing my job.. go figure. while other employees get to slack off and or show up late consistently with no consequences because theres alot of family working together whether in the same building or between a couple different hyatts. be afraid of what you eat from the kitchen. i had to clean every fridge/freezer myself while i was there because employees let them become terrible and gross. meat gets left out w/o being properly sealed and refrigerated for hours. employees are probably snacking on food while making your meals. half the time some of them dont use gloves. the dishwasher is terrible it washes your dishes in maybe 2 minutes and is horrible at cleaning them, alot of times i had to go back over them and clean them by hand again myself. most employees didnt care to take the time to do that. just toss in dishwasher then pull them out and put them up.. have fun eating on dirty dishes. the beer and liquor/liquer prices keep going up and up and becoming way expensive now its cheaper to go to the hamburger place and or bar right next door, and probably more sanitary. maids always getting in trouble for leaving rooms incomplete and undone. several times we tried to put guests in rooms to find out the beds were still torn apart, sheets in the floor, couch pillows lifted up and fold out bed half way pulled out. its rediculous like i said ive worked here and was fired back in january so not like im doing this out of anger from just being fired or anything. just want people to know what its like behind the scenes where you cant see.

I would give it 0 starts but it wont let me publish the review if I don't put at least 1. I had a reservation that I had paid for almost a month in advanced. We got there a day late but called to let them know and they said it was fine. When I got there they had given away my rooms and they did not have enough rooms for my reservations. I had to end up canceling the whole reservation and had to go looking for another hotel and I had to end up paying way more than I had expected. Worst hotel experience EVER!!!

This Hotel should never be associated with the Hyatt name. My mother had booked two rooms at the same time on the same day. However we were put on different floors initially.....when asking the two young punks if they could at least be put on the same floor her proceeded to roll his eyes like it was a bother. After leaving for 2 hours for supper, there was only 1 cart available for luggage up to the 6th floor with only one working elevator. No instructions were given on WIFI available. A dead roach was found in one room. The bathtub knob had come off on the stopper. Upon returning back to the room on the second day, dirty cups were still by the coffee pot and only one bed was made. The rack holding the towels should never be in the shower so they can get wet also. This was a nasty visit and will not be returning. The staff should be ashamed.

I have never posted a bad review for any hotel I stay in. I am a regular customer of Hyatt hotels and stay in them regularly. I have been a Hyatt Gold Passport Member for years. My stays have always been great... until I stayed at this hotel that is!!!! The hotel has 2 elevators, and at the time of my stay, one the the elevators was out of order. This did cause some extra wait times for elevators especially in the morning around breakfast. I was okay with that.... but when I returned to the hotel one afternoon and they told me the other elevator was out of order as well, I was not happy AT ALL. Our room was on the sixth floor. I had just picked my son up from a school trip and had to carry his suitcase up six flights of stairs!!!! Not cool!!! When I got to my room, I called the front desk and no one would answer. It rang at least 30 times. I called a few minutes later and finally got an answer. I asked the front desk how long the elevator was expected to be down, and their response was "Not too long. We are just airing it out." What the heck??!! They are airing it out in the middle of the day... when you only have one working elevator?! The person at the front desk did not even apologize. It was very annoying. I think the employees of this hotel need to take the needs of their guest into consideration when making decisions about closing an elevator during the middle of the day. If you can find another Hyatt near your destination, stay there. The people at this hotel just don't seem to be interested in providing the best experience possible for their customers.

I was beside myself when I found a room for less than $100 a night at a Hyatt. What a great deal! It's 5-10 minutes from Six Flags Over Texas and from Hurricane Harbor (parks are at separate locations), and the hotel provides an hourly/on-call shuttle to both. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member at close to midnight - there's always someone at the desk. Breakfast the next morning was good, but heavy on carbs and had almost no meats. No good for Southerners or Atkins-dieters. Trying to get park tickets was a pain; the hotel's computers refused to load the parks' sites, so we had to pay either the normal rate at the gate, or the slightly-lower-but-not-as-low-as-the-website rate at the front desk. We opted for the second, and had to wait for the absent manager to grant the supervisor access to the tickets. What a headache! The common area/lobby/dining area (all the same place) was tastefully decorated and clean. The rooms were also clean, quiet, and comfortable. Sheer drapes ensure privacy, while heavier drapes keep out the light from SH-360's streetlamps. Despite being on the "wrong side of the highway" (Grand Prairie), according to one of the staff members, we had no issues. No bedbugs, weird stains, or any of those other travelers' nightmares, either. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be during the entire stay. It may not be what I would expect from a Hyatt, but I would definitely stay there again.
