This time wasn't so great. Normally we would have a good time and chow on some good sushi. Everything was fine up until payment. This is all in one night which the probability just literally points to bad luck. The check for the dinner added one more sushi than was written on the paper you check off the list when you first order. That was corrected just fine, which was great, Thank you waitress. We decided to add one more item to the list for the way back home and talked to the cashier about it. We paid $30 for a dish that was 21.22 but only received back $3 and the change, no receipt. I normally trust folks at restaurants I frequent. After waiting for 24 minutes for something that was promised in 15 minutes, we got it and I received the receipt. That's when I realized hey, $5 is missing. I was sitting there the whole time I couldn't have done anything. I went to address the concern and he told me that I only given $25 and it was on the receipt. Anyone who works a cash register knows that the number you punch in will generate the amount of change necessary to return. It was punched in wrong and the only way to prove it is to count the drawer, which I asked but the cashier said he couldn't because of open tabs and that he didn't make the mistake. Which I can understand, the receipt says so but people are human and WE DO MAKE MISTAKES. Still if there was something he could assure or even say to me that was helpful or resourceful on my behalf would have been nice (like checking the camera or checking a main computer that records sales). Or even I will look into it to be sure just to prove me wrong. I would have been fine with that. But the easier thing to do to just point out the obvious evidence. Wrong price on the dinner check and an unhelpful cashier makes this night at Sushi Garden a very uneasy one for me. To the aged man at the cashier with the glasses and mishaven contenance, you were very unhelpful and not very personable. I don't plan on going back to this Sushi Garden again and it's sad to say it is because of you. I am grieved but this experience was very undeserved. I know that I will be more watchful next time. All I can say good about him is at least there was an apology when the last dish came out later than he had promise, but only after he handed it to us. Although it was only $5, which to some is a lot, what matters is the availability and the helpfulness of the staff. Please don't treat your guests that way.

I went to the Sushi Garden on La Cholla today and had the buffet and some ordered off the menu and it was DISGUSTING! I love sushi but this restaurant made me hate it! I would rather stick to eating sushi at Frys. There was this funny taste and smell that made me want to vomit. I wonder if the health department has done a recent check there. I heard good things about them and was so disappointed when I got there. It was a waste of money and I will never return and I will tell my friends of my experience to save them from the same bad experience. The waitress was FANTASTIC which was the only part I enjoyed about going there.

North side at the Foothills Mall - Service was probably the worst I have had in 10 years. Could not get a regular Coke the entire meal and 1 drink refill in 55 minutes. Half my order was forgotten. When I asked about it the waiter argued with me about what I ordered. Even my 8 year old heard the order. Food was excellent but I will not return to this location.

Worst 100 bucks spent in a while! Brought my family of four, for Mothers day. They crammed us in a small table behind a drink station, in the rear. I'm in a wheelchair, but none of the staff cared, they cut me off everywhere I tried to go, never apologized. The food was dull, and most overcooked. The crab was steeped in the saltyest water, and still frozen in places. We left for shopping at Walmart, got deli food, and all just agreed, that it was better than our food at sushi garden. That says it all for us. If you want to look trendy and artsy...this will work. If you want quality food, great service and respectful staff....not. Very disappointing for the hype I've read and heard.

This was fairly good. Husband and son had the all you can eat sushi. Son was done in one, had a large amount of sushi, husband had two rounds. They said the sushi was quite good. I had the pork roast in panko, with the spicy sauce, was fairly good, although the potato salad was like a glob on my plate.. our daughter said the chicken was tough. They did bring a delightful children's plate for our granddaughter. Service was good, however, the manager seems to like looming over all the tables, looking for non legal sharing of the sushi, which definitely gets a bit annoying. Also, keep in mind they have a policy of if you don't eat it, they charge you extra. Our son didn't like the fried calamari, and didn't eat all of it, and they charged us an extra 5 dollars on the bill for it. I understand not wanting people to be wasteful, but there's a big difference between wasteful, and he didn't like it. Considering he ate everything that came after, I question the decision to surcharge us for an unfinished appetizer.

Terrible. Got there at 9:40 and was told they close at 10 which the hours online do not reflect. Then after being sat the little man kept coming up and bugging us about them being closed and he couldn't make them serve me. What a load of crap! Worst restaurant ever.. and the sushi isn't even that great. Close this dump down! UPDATE- FINALLY CHANGED THEIR HOURS ONLINE

Cant beat the value. All you can eat sushi, excellent sushi mind you, for about $28-33 (meal, drink, tip, tax) out the door? When I sit at the sushi bar, I usually drop an extra fiver in the tip jar sitting on the counter. Can't be beat. I was reading a review from someone (probably the owner of the melting pot next door) who was bagging on the waitresses CS skills. They are all excellent, the men and women both. Also, all the waitresses are damn fine eye candy as well, so there is that.. Only valid complaint I can think of is that they are sometimes a little to eager to get you the check, or they take too long. As for the complaint about the chopsticks, maybe if she just opened her eyes and looked right in front of her, she would have seen the chopsticks that are part of the place setting. They sit them on this little dish for the soy sauce. I've been here hundreds of times, and never once have they neglected to include chopsticks. In short, if you like sushi, there is no better place to go, except maybe the new Broadway/Country Club location. The only thing better about that location is the atmosphere, it just gives off the sense of being a slightly higher class dining experience, but that might just be my imagination.
