Some could argue that "emo nerds" have always made the best music. Pete Townshend was writing with emotion and writing nerdy rock operas in the late 60's, Rush was screaming their emotion and writing 20 minute long songs about Neil's feelings in the 70's. Genesis and The Police in the 80's, Smashing Pumpkins in the 90's, 10 years ago Coheed and Cambria were putting out some of the best music ever and it could very easily be classified as "emo nerd prog rock". Safe to say that emotion + nerdiness is a fantastic formula for incredible music.
he had to sing so high on Acceptance Speech that i think it doesnt sound as good live as it does on the album. but so far it seems like Instant Gratification is gonna fit his voice better and they'll sound even more amazing live
personally, i love Tilian's vocals. I love Jonny Craig and Kurt Travis, but I think Tilian's great. Maybe it's because the first DGD album I ever heard was Acceptance Speech, or because I'm a huge fan of Tides Of Man, but I just really like Tilian.
+Ana Verdesca This is their best album! Its absolutely insane start to finish. Will Swan fully unleashes as the true composer he can be. I feel like with his new shit he holds back a lot more so they sound more catchy.
