Wow...this is very interesting.

Some interesting book facts. The last 3 especially. 80% of families? Really? Time to start sending books to my friends and there kids as gifts. We need more understanding kids, and who doesn't want to be an international expert? ;)

I just rated Noah a "No" on Fandango. What did you think of it?

I cannot express how much I love Google Now. It not only just told me the status of tomorrow's flights, but what time I should leave my apartment.

The amazing part? I DIDN'T EVEN ASK IT TO! My goodness, this thing is fantastic.

Love this story

On September 1st I had a net worth of $5,250,000.00 on December 1st...

I was sitting in a parking lot while my then wife was interviewing for a job, because we had lost "everything". We had barely $1,000.00 in our bank account, and ended up having to live with her family. While I was sitting in that parking lot reading a newly purchased book business stripped bare by +Richard Branson  with tears in my eyes because I had lost everything I had ever thought was important to me, I came across a quote that changed me at my core.

It redefined me, my ambitions, my purpose. It was an "aha moment" of sorts but felt more like a slap across my face. I had been chasing money when I should have been creating something else entirely.

My entire life I had spent chasing the "almighty dollar". I thought that maybe my Dad, my teachers, and everyone else who had never believed in me might be proven wrong if I was a millionaire. A dyslexic, ADHD kid who had never been seen as anything valuable in his life, I was looking for validation from all the people who could never give it to me.

In that moment success was redefined for me. It wasn't about money anymore. It wasn't about proving people wrong. I swore from that moment on I would never chase money again.  I swore to spend everyday after that with a far simpler intention. To work only on things that concerned me, absorbed me, fascinated me, and engaged me in every minute of my life.

The best thing that ever happened to me was losing "everything". It gave me license to pursue things for greater than the egotism of proving everyone in my life wrong. It gave me license to truly pursue what matters to me.

Oh, and the quote?... Here you go.

"Would I have been happy without my successes in business? I'd like to think so. But again, it depends on what you mean by business. Would I have been happy had I not found concerns to absorb me and fascinate me and engage me every minute of my life? No, absolutely not, I'd be as miserable as sin."

Have a blessed Friday my friends.
