Get your own #Freebase #RDFdump loaded into #Virtuoso ready to use as google cloud instance by +Giovanni Tummarello
While you can download the Freebase Data Dumps in N-triples RDF format at https://developers.google.com/freebase/data many developers find them a bit intimidating due to their large size (250GB+ uncompressed) and format. We’d like to help. In this pilot “Making Sense of The Graph”   #GDL  episode,  +Jarek Wilkiewicz  and +Dan Brickley  introduce you to a simple way to experiment with Freebase RDF Data Dumps with SPARQL and  +OpenLink Software  Virtuoso by using a pre-packaged distribution created by  +Sindicetech LTD. You can find the  +Google Cloud Platform  GCE image and instructions at:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/sindicetech-freebase and more information at http://www.sindicetech.com/freebase.
Please let us know what you think and please suggest topics for future “Making Sense of The Graph” episodes you’d like to see us cover.
