Went on a date night during an uncrowded time and had a nice quiet dinner upstairs. Excellent and friendly service (never felt rushed) and the food was delicious!

This is my favorite place to eat anywhere in the city. They have amazing pasta dishes and my favorite dish is the Prosciutto with melon. It's fantastic.

Delighted with my experience. They immediately presented me with lovely, crusty bread and a dish of olive oil and another of Parmesan - so much better than greasy "garlic bread"! Francis, the host, waited on me, asked intelligent questions about my preferences, and made sure the food was prepared appropriately. He was relaxed, friendly and patient. Arugula salad was fresh and not overdressed. Could taste the good olive oil in my entree. Pasta was al dente - thank goodness! Tilapia gently cooked. Tiramisu was light and lovely. LOVED the coffee. (Restaurant coffee almost always spoils the meal, but not at la Fourno.) It was a Groupon that brought me there, but got absolutely no vibe of being down-classed thereby. Am glad to have "discovered" La Fourno!

We have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. This week we had the tastiest tilapia ever. It was over the top. Al and Francis are welcoming and engaging hosts. This is our favorites Philly restaurant.

Decided to randomly try this place while walking down south street, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Service was very very friendly, and the food remarkable, with definitely authentic Italian taste.

Ridiculously overrated. I am suspicious that the rave reviews are from the owner. Average food at best but way more expensive than average.
