incredible collection but some guards are rude and unfriendly not typical of the rest of the wonderful Greek people. smiles and polite greetings returned by scowling suspicious glares of disdain. Stupid un notified rules that forbid photos of people in your party near exhibited pieces even In respectful poses.

So much to see! Dedicate at least 2 hours, or even a half day. Clean, nice staff. A few blocks from Metro (Green line to Victoria stop) off of Oktovriou (October) & Ipirou/Irakliou. Hidden by trees and buildings.

You can tell Greece is running out of money, half the galleries were closed because of a lack of staff. The galleries that were open were fabtastic

Sadly only one third of the rooms were open to the public, due to lack of staff. The rooms that were open however contained some amazing pieces. I would likely rate this museum 5 stars if it were completely open.

It's pretty awesome and the exhibition is rich. Antykither mechanism exhibition is remarkably stunning, complete with 3D video and a hologram. However, always keep your ticket on you, because moving from one part of museum to another would require you to. There are no signs about and staff doesn't mention this.
