Have you ever heard someone say something like, “don’t have a cow”, or “I am so hungry I could eat a horse”, if you have, do not fear- no one is actually going to give birth to a cow, nor eat a meal as large as a horse, these sayings are just idioms.

Both students that are just starting to learn English, and advanced students are often thrown off by English Idioms, so join teacher Nina in her new lesson on Popular English Idioms. Read through a short story that is filled with idioms, and take part in the discussion at the end of the text to try to decipher what each one really means.

ESL Partyland is a great place for students to come and practice their English, but did you know, we cater to Teachers as well? With a forum, free lesson plans, and quizzes and games, we have everything you need!

Good morning!
I wanted to share this great custom t-shirt site I used recently.
I decided to do something special for the team here at ESL Partyland, so I ordered some custom t-shirts from Skyline Shirts, we got our shirts in the mail, and they were better than I could have ever imagined! The quality for the price went above and beyond my expectations. Everyone loved them so much that I decided to put in another order!

All of our staff here at ESL Partyland is actively working on creating an ESL community, where students and teachers can interact with one another. This forum is a great place for students to find friends to practice ESL with, and to get all of your questions answered by other students, and teachers! The most popular categories for teachers by far, are the "Teaching Strategies" where you can exchange your favorite lesson plans, and the "ESL Jobs" section, where you can connect with students that are looking for a teacher!  The best way to join into this forum is by simply introducing yourself!
