Looking at the forecasts for this week's weather, I thought about the precision with which meteorologists make their predictions. I wondered about the other aspects of my snow days and imagined them as numerical predictions. I began and ended with quotations from tomorrow's forecasts.

My freshmen and I worked on a 100-word story inspired by this picture.   I'm encouraging them to look at character and setting more closely than usual.  Here is my story in which I imagine life on the 16th floor of the apartment outside the train.
