Cozy eatery serving meatballs, cannoli, lasagna & more amidst the rustic decor of an old barn.- Google
"The Caesar Salad is scratch built table side and the entrees are amazing."
"It is pretty much just your basic Italian food with fine dining prices."

The ambience was nice and we loved the piano player. We enjoyed the wine and food although it may have been a bit overpriced for the quality.

I have been come here for years! We even ate here before homecoming a couple times. I think it was 20 orders of chicken alfredo because it was the cheapest thing on the menu. The place feels like an old rustic house made classy and the City of Houston just got developed all around it. The nice atmosphere inside is completed by a piano player that takes requests which I don't see very often anymore. However I get it 3 stars because the quality of the food doesn't seem to keep up with the atmosphere and good service. It is pretty much just your basic Italian food with fine dining prices. The basic italian restaurant has its place but I like more adventurous new stuff around town.

Atmosphere and waiter were good, food was not. I'd been wanting to try this place out and saw a deal for it so figured it was a good time to check it out. I was not impressed and will not be back. It's way overpriced for the quality of food, honestly might as well go to Olive Garden and it'd probably only cost half of what you pay here and taste better. We started with mozzarella sticks and knew from there it wasn't going to be good. They were just frozen ones heated up and were barely warm. I had seafood pasta and my bf had chicken Alfredo both which were mediocre and not very big servings. They both cost over $20, what a rip off for what you get and the quality. If I hadn't had the deal I bought and had paid full price I would have been very mad. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here. Even if it wasn't overpriced I still wouldn't go back because it's just not good.

Highly overrated, expensive and way overpriced. Over the past 30 years, I've dined at Cavatore's on occasion with varying degrees of satisfaction. Except for the interesting decor, mostly nothing to rave about compared to other restaurants in town. Sadly, it has hit a whole new low. Fancy $$$ menu now and tell-tale signs of cuts in quality here and there...Wedesday evening and no piano player so nothing special about the atmosphere. Marguerita pizza was worst either of us have ever had...small for the price, totally tasteless and covered with thick globs of mozzarella cheese. Minestrone soup equally bad (we can do far better ourselves at home or by opening a can of Progresso at 1/5th the price). Their "famous" Caesar salad was ok except the romaine was chopped instead of torn, a total miss for the $17 price tag. Definitely a waste of hard-earned money and we won't be coming back!

Good place for business lunches for small or large groups. The atmosphere is great with lots of relics, posters and trinkets as if you were in an old Italian farmhouse. Service is relatively fast and friendly. Food is high quality and seasoned enough to where you can taste the spices, but not overwhelming.

Love the interior, great feel with all the nostalgia from an old TX barnhouse, but each of the three times I've eaten there in the last 15 years I've told myself it would be the last time. the food was very boring every time. it's the last place you want to have a romantic meal..

This place has a lot of great options to choose from but some dishes are hit or miss. Choose the house salad with vinaigrette over the cesar. Definitely a fan of the carbonara and the pork chop.
