I'm a 30 year old guy living in the United States, specifically in Washington State. In school I earned a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science, both focusing on Computer Science. I also picked up a Web Programmers Certificate from WWU and managed to spend an additional three years in college over the normal amount taking classes outside of my required course work. These extra classes were in Philosophy, Mathematics, Physics, Latin, Astronomy, History, Literature, and Music; literally going from major to major until the University finally forced me to pick one and stick with it, as I was hitting the end of the “You have to graduate with something after X number of years” limit in their rule book.
During my Masters program, I specialized in distributed computing, robotics, and machine learning. My research project and subsequent research paper was on developing and implementing a robust flight control system for an Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that could be used with very little modification on a variety of remote control flight platforms. The paper was eventually published in the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) conference (2008).
Since school, my primary hobbies outside of web work have been studying electrical engineering, knife making and reading a variety of business related books.
