Title: Lone Light Pole

One of the shots I took from Gantry Plaza State Park with nyc as it's backdrop in Long Island City on a foggy day.

Process: Shot with native camera with HDR setting on. Apps used, snapseed and IG filter. Cropped in snapseed then used the vintage filter 3 and adjusted the setting to what I felt was appropriate for what I was going to do next. Next step was to apply the Rise Filter in IG by processing it through my other account I own just for editing. This mix matching between snapseed vintage and IG filters work quite well together. Then I brought the IG saved image to snapseed and lightened the fog since it was a little too yellow for my taste by applying negative contrast and slight brightness through select adjust *save 1. Applied the center focus fog to set a bit more mood *save 2. Now if you’re as picky as me and don't like how the center focus fog darkens the top half of the pic, then keep reading. Open the *save 1 pic in the blender app on the left and *save 2 pic on the right, bring the bar to 100% all the way to the right and delete the top half of *save 2, use and save!

Title: The City

Description:
The shot was taken in midtown Manhattan during my lunch break, which is when I do most of my shooting. Taken with the intent of drawing the viewers’ eyes to the end. The lines on the right helped create a sense of depth as it leads you from the back of the shot to the front.

Process:
Taken with iPhone 4 native camera, sharpened with PS Express, cut in Camera+, Snapseed drama at 50% and then applied the grunge filter (1076) with texture strength to zero to help set the mood. I took the pic to Lenslight to add the light at the end, the focal point of the shot. Finally took the pic back to Snapseed for a bit of contrast to offset the lighting a tad.

So this was pretty cool, my photo was chosen as one of photos of the week on the Instagram Blog! Thanks to +Christina Nørdam Andersen for letting me know or I would of been completely oblivious to this fact. Haha
